It would be everso lovely if someone could let me have their Marinersplayer logon as I'm in the depths of Poland and can't listen otherwise.

Very interesting on the line up, would of liked to kept Pearson in the team though, maybe today we might see Zak Mills's gaint throws

Why drop Pearson and even worse why bring in Gowling who has been one of our worst players this season. (Lost his man for the goal again on Tuesday)

"Zak Mills, Josh Gowling, Danny Collins and Danny Andrew are named as the back four with Ben Davies operating at right wing.

James Berrett and Brandon Comley anchor the midfield, with Dominic Vose on the left-wing.

Omar Bogle and Shaun Tuton are paired up front."

Be interesting to hear from those there but surely he is playing a midfield 3 with Vose behind the front 2?

It wouldn't make sense to play Davies as a winger so that sounds like a good plan. Midfield 3 with Vose in the 'hole' - hopefully running the game!

If he hadn't made the changes though would we have been on top today?

Davies for Chambers is the only one I might question in so far as Summerfield has made a few errors lately so his place might have been at risk in any case

Gowling for Pearson isn't going wrong so far as we've not conceded and Mills debut's not been bad

Just need some forward impetus which as the game goes on might come with the introduction of Tom Bolarinwa?

Anyway second half under way so....

Screw George. It's not the first time he's done it. When we played them in the cup (and beat them) a couple of season's ago he nailed his colours to the mast that day, and I lost a lot of respect for him. He's a Scunny man evidently.

I'd love to see, just for once, an inspiring second half after a bit of a drab first. Couple of subs, bit of a reshuffle on the field and just take the game to them and hit them with our true pace. We really never seem to do this, nor often manage to change a game with tactical subs.
Sounds like a draw will do us, but a team with that sort of home record really ought to be prodded and probed and put to the test by us.

Rubbish this. Making a poor team look like world beaters. Too many needless changes pre-match and far too defensively setup across the team. Just invites pressure onto us and our shakey back-line which has clearly been our achilles heel this season. Berrett and Summerfield are not good enough midfielders. We need McAllister fit asap and both of them binned off on loan or something.

The game i am listening to sounds like neither Bogle or Vernon have hardly had the ball passed to them.....not a game to blame the strikers as it sounds as though we havnt threaded 3 passes together all game......p1ssing around with the back four, the centre midfield and the wing (square pegs) clearly is the issue.

Clean sheet is good, away point always welcome but this is their first draw, having lost eight of the previous eleven. No problems really with that other than we never put them under any pressure and we have forgotten how to score. Hartlepool gone back to their 1-1 draws again i see. We look weak in midfield and not able to dominate the pattern of play. Still 10th though, so not too bad all in all.

So we played excrement and got a draw and a clean sheet? We arent the big fish. In a league any more and some of you really need to start understanding thay, ffs we didnt lose did we

The most sensible and honest post about this result. Forget their past results, a point and a clean sheet away from home is always a decent outcome.

It's not the result that's worrying. It's what, 5 games without a goal in open play now?

I cant help but think a point away in league two is a good result regardless.

people who are content/happy/not miffed with failing to score a goal against a side who have not won at home this season, have lost 8 out of 12, have the worst goal difference in our league, had pre match protests by their supporters and by all accounts went on to dominate us need to raise their expectations.

I do not expect us to win every game, i expect this season to be a bit of a learning curve but post  match Hurst again spoke of "Davies looked ok and made that side solid, he asked Ben if he would play there" ...we will go to places where we need to pick a solid team as the opposition merit but today we needed to have something to beat a team...no pace in midfield, no width, lack of service to the front and big holes in the centre of the park. Wrong team Paul end of.

As for securing a clean sheet ....they have scored one League goal at home this fkin season and that was in August...hardly an acheivement in that context.

Think we'd all have been happy with draws away from home at the start of the season, let's keep this real guys, we're doing OK.

A look at the league table would suggest that, but it's ages since we played well, controlled a game or even looked a goal threat..

Sorry but I thought I was reading about an England performance.

Think GTFC would have beaten Malta today

Think Rooney was preoccupied with his tax bill and lingard Henderson Walcott were hopeless

We have had some good results this season but rarely played well. I think Hurst realises that we aren.t a good team and knows he has problems. How many players could grumble if they were dropped--not many if any except Bogle. Hurst is running out of options but todays team selection was just sheer frustration. [I don't like to use the word " panic"] I know a forum is made up of supporters which we all are but how any of us can say Town have a good team is ludicrous. When was the last time we left a match and said to ourselves "I enjoyed that "

We may not be the big fish but we are in the big fish top 7 of this league. It's not just one game played excrement, we are stuttering and some players need removing from the first team. The question is do we have players who can step up and if the answer is no, then why not.

Don't often disagree with you but I think this smacks of the low expectations syndrome. If the height of our ambition is to get a point at a club that hasn't yet got one at home then we will soon be in the same position they are.

We are in L2. We deserve to be in L2 as much as any other side. But that situation will change unless we start scoring goals and we will not start scoring goals with team selections like today's.

Is our aim for the season going to be mediocrity?

??? We carried loads of goal threat in the first 20 minutes last Saturday. The problem we have is no-one looks terribly confident in front of goal, think that's now 7 since anyone other than Omar scored.

Hurst doesn't like free scoring open games. Bogle started well last year, scored about ten goals, then dried up apart from a couple of pens and Hurst brought in Tomlinson and tightened us up generally. For Tomlinson, read Tuton and it all has an air of deja vu about it. Neither of those strikers look like they could hit the net and don't look like they work with Bogle. Wouldn't be surprised if Bogle is given the hook soon.

That's how I see it.
I'm not demanding a top 3 spot though I don't think I'm being unreasonable in wanting a team with signings like Bolarinwa, Jackson etc and the divisions top scorer in Bogle to have a better goal difference after 12 games than zero.

Can anyone remember when Hurst has one of these tinker moments it actually working ?
There always seems to be half a dozen games a season where you take one look at the team sheet and just know we're going to lose

How did we get on in the end?

Please tell me when I can start calling Hurst again.

Sums up the moronic view of some so called fans unfortunately. Why are you so desperate to slag off the man who did more than anyone else to rescue us from non league obscurity?

Yeah we did, but that wasn't my point.

Pleased with a point today - steadied the ship after last week's reversal. No goals conceded - Wycombe and Notts County were late goal sickeners and that did not happen today.

I feel Danny Collins has stiffened our resolve - and don't forget - he is still trying to achieve match fitness at his tender age - (compared to me).

Looking forward to seeing us finally play in the North West in the new year.
