Early average League 2 away followings. With Exeter, Yeovil, Plymouth and Crawley all coming up in the next few weeks, I'm sure our average will drop quite dramatically. Most teams have played 4 away games.

    1378 Luton
    1015 Grimsby
    984 Carlisle
    956 Portsmouth
    725 Plymouth
    695 Doncaster
    558 Wycombe
    540 Blackpool
    492 Cambridge
    464 Colchester
    414 Leyton Orient
    377 Notts County
    332 Exeter
    320 Barnet
    253 Cheltenham
    252 Crewe
    242 Mansfield
    230 Stevenage
    218 Yeovil
    211 Crawley
    186 Newport
    152 Morecambe
    127 Hartlepool
    98 Accrington

    473 overall average

Ours will be a to higher after Mansfield and Donny , we'd need to be in the mix to maintain it for the rest of the season though

Carlisle looks an awesome number given every game is a long way for them. Nearest Morecambe?

They had 2752 at Blackpool last Saturday!

They also have Blackpool, which they took about 2k to last week.

agreed, especially with a big city and large population, central location, good transport links etc.

I guess some people must support both Nottm teams and only go to home games?

Just just shows why our amazing fans deserve this league as a minimum.  Hartlepool should be ashamed of those figures.

Should be looking to take 1k to Cambridge in a few weeks and possibly sell out Doncaster though 3.3k could be a decent ask of us

We will easily take 3300 to Doncaster! This support is rocking!

To get a real picture of away support you would have to factor in the distances travelled.

Luton (as expected) have a good following but i would guess will travel a lot less than the Mariners. Makes our support even more impressive in another southern dominated league..

And you have to applaud Carlisle's support. They probably have further to travel than anyone. Good turnout at Blackpool last week for one of their nearer fixtures but so far their travels include Pompey, Cambridge & Barnet.

I will be part of the 1600 at Mansfield on Saturday and you have to think we would have taken well in excess of 2000 if we had got more tickets.

I am already looking forward to Donny in December. I think the away end holds almost 3500.......could sell that out as well.

That, to use that overused word is 'awesome'. Lincoln were barely getting that at home last season (don't know about this) and 2000 more than they could manage to bring to BP.

(Old Lincoln-baiting habits die hard  ;) )

I hope we can get a fair few to Exeter, Plymouth, Crawley etc. That will really show how 'awesome' we are!

I plan to be at Crawley as :
i) it's just up the A23 and;
ii) it was the first game I saw us play in the non-league ( we won and I remember thinking, "this is easy")   :-/

Yeah that game was a real false dawn. Heck even Lee Peacock scored.

Everyone seemed convince we would urine the tin pot league after the game. Unfortunately that honour went to Creepy Crawley.

God we were crap in that first season in non league. This was the team that started the season:

Grimsby: Arthur, Watt, Ridley, Kempson, Hudson, Bore, Leary, Wood (Eagle 58), Peacock, Coulson, Connell (Dixon 88).
Subs Not Used: Garner, Cummins, Samuels.

Just looking at some of the players there, Woods should have been sacked before a ball was kicked.

Andy Dixon was a long time before Pete. This was a young forward called Nathan Dixon, I think he only made a couple of late sub appearances for us before disappearing without a trace.

Don't forget that Luton have played Cambridge, Stevenage, Crawley and Gillingham so far which are all under 90 minutes away from Luton. We have had to go to places like Colchester (Tuesday night) with Notts County being the closest one.

Not sure where it will end at the end of the season but we will be in the top 3 easy!!

UTM!

Coventry are in meltdown. The Coventry Telegraph started a petition in the week demanding that owners SISU put the club up for sale. Not sure if there is a fans boycott at the mo.  I think  Blackburn fans have issues with their owner(s).

Makes you wonder with these big money takeovers, is it all really worth it? Surely a club can climb the leagues and do well without being owned by some chicken company!

Indeed. I live in Coventry and a lot of lifelong fans I know have since all but deserted the club, stopped buying their season tickets, all because of the SISU situation. It's been a massive issue for the last couple of years. Such a shame - Coventry City has great history and they don't deserve this.
