Crewe sound decent.

Yes they are, I think I'll take a point, they aren't parking no bus that's for sure. 4-2-3-1 would allow us to control game.

Giving away too many needless free kicks and corners could cost us.
Posted by: immariner, September 17, 2016, 3:37pm; Reply: 22
BBC stats (pinch of salt) show 42% possession and 0 (zero) shots for Town in the first half. What a time to concede too.

Summerfield looking today like the player we thought he could be........sh1te!
Posted by: springstomind, September 17, 2016, 3:41pm; Reply: 24
All Summerfield has done is give the ball away today, I think he's shown some god signs but needs to get his head up and calm down when he's in possession, he plays like he's still chasing down he ball when he's actually got it! Hopefully he can have a better second half, if not his seems like a Dis game to me.

Crying out for Disley. Our leader. Bring him on.

Too late, Crewe are too good to let this slip, Town love to build us up then knock us down again :o

We need to start working the space wide, their LB looks like a liability and the RB is having an easy afternoon. Summerfield off Vose tucks in and get Tombola on at some point
Posted by: Meza, September 17, 2016, 3:49pm; Reply: 28
Didn't Crewe get relegated last year.  Lets be a bit realistic some games we'll win and some we'll win surprisingly and we'll lose some.  Like i said right at the start of the season its about consolidation.  No need to put pressure on ourselves.
Posted by: Maringer, September 17, 2016, 3:49pm; Reply: 29
Comley and Tuton almost invisible on the pitch today and Vose is well out of the game as well. No surprise we're doing little in attack.

Crewe look the best team we've faced at BP this season. Well-organised, hard-working and with some ability. Hope they tire in the second half as they've been all over us in the first.

Well done to Crewe if they stop us scoring, if we get a clear cut chance , we will score. Subs have made a difference , commentators have upped there tempo since they have come on pitch. Going work, hoping we get a point. If not 0-1 is a good account of ourself as a team.

We are unrecognisable from the team of last week. No leadership today I'm afraid. All Crewe take from this game is what we have gifted them.

Red ticks for being realistic, theyre my local team and hear about how good they are getting defensively. Am I wrong about Town, WLLLDWL etc.

FT  Town  0 - 2  Crewe,    as Buckley said this is a reality check against a good side in league 2, we move on UTM

Crewe sounded a good organised side, beaten by the better side today, hopefully give us a reality check and give us things to work on, we've got to cut out these sloppy mistakes.

First game we havn't scored in this season, Crewe look like a good side. Our next fixtures sound far more tasty, Mansfield, Newport, Hartlepool, Exeter, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Yeovil and Barnet!

Clearly Crewe are decent but they will not have an easier away win this season, 3 points served to them on a plate by our poor performance
Posted by: Kris2, September 17, 2016, 5:04pm; Reply: 46
Loss to a decent League Two side that had our number. They shut down Bogle completely and didn't let us play how we want so then it was down to resorting to long balls and hoping Vose could do something. First time I've seen Town completely neutralised this season, Some players had very poor games which didn't help matters but it just felt like there was no plan B to cope with a team that could outplay us and shut us down.

Beaten by an organised competent side who made zero mistakes compared to our 2 or 3....
Didnt think they would have scored without our help but we certainly didnt threaten either.

Crewe grow their own - Town don't / haven't for many years - but might in the future.

The report that Crewe were camped in the Humber Royal (the night before the game) told me enough that Crewe were serious about winning this game - it appears the Crewe strategy is to survive between divisions 1 and 2. Their crowds are not massive but there is some force in this club that keeps this club in these divisions. Probably great policy, great organisation, great implementation of the policy.

Mariners - welcome back to the Football League.

They made it easy by being better than us. We didn't serve them 3 points on a plate, they played better and took the points they deserved. All in my opinion of course.
