I dont know what it is but i just feel uneasy about Lloyd.
When i hear him speak about Town it just doesnt come across as real to me....  Maybe it isnt Lloyd at all, maybe its because he is the first person to really be on TV and radio who talks about Town and i am just not used to us being talked about in that manner.

All good publicity though and raising the profile of the club.

I stood next to him at Dover on a Tuesday night, if he's using a lower league football club to get fame, he's doing a huge long con, and to be honest should have a better plan.

I don't know how he makes a living off being a comedian.

My opinion.

I find him quite funny tbh. Typical Grimsby sense of humour and enjoy the podcast he does with Tom Farmery and Bill Brewster.

Cant knock anyone for doing well

I wouldn't judge his comedy til I had seen it personally but I know what you mean the only comedian I have ever wanted to see live was Billy Connelly

Met him once on the train to the game at Bognor so no one can doubt he's a fan . Good lad , down to earth so don't start knocking him just cos he's done well for himself !

Good to hear us getting some exposure, clearly a loyal town fan! Listened to the Talk Sport thing and he came across better than he did when he was on H&J before.

For anyone who listened in I spotted Lloyd outside that cake shop in Luton after Saturday's game despite his new health regime.

I'm always a bit wary when people who support Town call us Grimsby* (that's probably a bit weird though) but as some have suggested he's really playing the long game if he's made up his support for the club.

*There was someone on here the other week looking to buy retro Grimsby tops for example.

He's from the bloody area, so why wouldn't he support Town.

In his defence I made him go there cos my kids wanted a cupcake (50p BARGAIN). Not a crumb passed his lips.

Can't believe he's pretended to be a Town fan to increase his media exposure but it must be tempting when you know the attention it'll bring. It was bad enough when Paris Hilton kept bringing us up, then it was Cameron claiming to have stood on the pontoon as a boy and the ultimate low was that episode of TOWIE where they sat around discussing how to get the best out of Scott Neilson for an hour.

Yeah he did say that on H&J to be honest, fair play!

If your on national stage saying Town doesn't really work a lot of listeners who aren't Town- take your pick, luton, ilkeston swindon? :-/

What about on a Town forum? Or on a Twitter account with a large following of Town fans? I doubt any interviewers would refer to us as Town and probably ask questions like what Grimsby are doing/who looks good for Grimsby etc?

I did say it was probably weird for me to think that!

Ha, I'm a regular Talksporter. Not keen on Jim White as yet, preferred Colin Murray. I thought he was going to bottle the Shopawhatever trophy thing but he did okay. I'd have been much more scathing, which is probably why I sell fish and he works in the media!
