Totally agree, London Mariner, winning breeds confidence and in this case money.

I wouldn't have gone but I just can't help listening to the game

I'm interested. I don't support the competition, but I do support the Mariners.

Lol the peer pressure in this thread. "I'm going to listen and I want the mariners to win but I'm not gonna enjoy it!"

I hope we win this and all the games in this competition and make the club some money , I've not gone tonight and wouldn't have gone anyway as I never used to unless it was a local derby or the final stages

This commentator keeps getting the score wrong Said it was 1-0 when they scored and 2-0 when they took the lead
Posted by: Kris2, August 30, 2016, 8:18pm; Reply: 13
3:1 now. Mistake from Gowling by the sound of it let them in.

Perhaps he was asleep when Town scored

Walsall have had 6 shots on target and scored 5 goals! We have had 8 shots on target.

Unbelievable stat really that we have lost 16 of our last 17 games at Walsall (drawing the other one). The last time we won at Walsall was 1925 in The FA Cup and 1897 in the league!!

Great turn out by the Fenty family!

Just noticed that draws have been settled by pen shootouts why in a group stage would you do that?
Posted by: chaos33, August 30, 2016, 9:53pm; Reply: 28
An extra point for a shoot out winner
Posted by: Madeleymariner, August 30, 2016, 9:58pm; Reply: 29
Its sounding more stupid than ever-you can play for a draw then get an extra point ;D

Sounding more American by the minute, it'll be multiball and official timeouts at this rate

I guess those that crossed the picket line are too embarrassed to give a report. I dont blame them for supporting the team as i do and keep an ear out on how we have done but shame on them for going.

Next game at home should be at the Bradley stadium with only the away. Boycott the park!

I went.. still not ashamed. Don't get many local games (living in the West Midlands), so will take every one I can get regardless of the politics around it. If we had remained in the competition however I would have boycotted any games against an U23 team from a larger club.

We still are in the competition.
