I will be starting a new prediction league as of Saturday 13th August. (1st set of fixtures to predict will be posted on here on Sunday 7th August).

I pm'd everyone who took part last time and all the following 28 confirmed their interest for the new league.

Lukeo, Grantham Mariner, Gobby, Fishoutofwater, CMckenzie4, Wizbit, Thevera, Hagrid, Richard, GTFCJack, Crusty Ole Pie, Scoregasm, Vinno69, Brigg Mariner, Posh Harry, Wozofgrimsby, Todmorden Mariner, Grimsby Pete, Pizzzza, Sonik, Ivano Sandwich, Freemoash88, Ponny Fan, Gary Elton, Bovine, ClarkyGTFC, Mighty Mariner and Bobby Turtle.

2 people turned down the offer but these places were taken by Garth and Harry Haddock

Last season the competition ran with 34 entrants. The 4 I have not heard back from are Mike502, Mariner Jase, Preston Mariner and GTFC71 so as the deadline to get back to me has passed, their places are now up for grabs.

The Laughing Mariner has expressed an interest in one place but I would ideally like to find at least 1 more new entrants to make up the 32 which the competition always ran with but I can go a couple over that if enough people want to join. The competition lasts for 16 weeks so please only express an interest to enter if you are will to commit to this length of time, so just reply on this thread if you wish to take part this coming season.

Ok Mike, no problem.

Ok, we now have 33 accepted entries to the new league. I will accept another couple if anyone else still wants to enter and that will cover us if anyone drops out in the first few weeks which often happens.

I will make a sticky thread at the top later today with the list of entries. The game will begin on Saturday 13th August and I will post the first set of fixtures to predict on Sunday 7th.

I know that a few people sometimes don't send their predictions in until Saturday morning but for the first week (and the first week only, after that it will be up to you to remember each week) I will send out a reminder PM to those who have not yet predicted.

Let's see if Lukeo can defend his title that he won so impressively last season, not only winning the league but winning the knockout stage too.

Okay, will add you to the list of entrants on the sticky thread. I don't mind starting with a few over the usual 32 entrants and we usually get 1 or 2 who drop out in the first couple of weeks.
