I'd put in a vote for an away match in West Yorkshire - Elland Road would be good.

Can't believe we haven't been invited to the International Champions Cup again yet Liverpool and Chelsea have. We were actually champions of something this season!

anyone remember the year we did the ibiza tour? (I didn't go personally)

I like the way we usually do it tbh. would be nice for a home game v Hull :)

Would be nice to arrange a friendly with Bristol Rovers

Can't see Disley being with town long enough to get a testimonial but he deserves one!

Peterborough & Derby again would be good plus say someone like Forest or Barnsley

If we play the mudrats id rather it was at their place.

Personally I'd like a small tour of some lower league Dutch or Italian clubs...

Tour of Northern Ireland again would be tremendous
Posted by: Grimbiggs, May 31, 2016, 2:33pm; Reply: 13
Similar set up to last year i imagine....Championship team and 2 league 1 sides at home? possibly Notts Forest, Rotherham or Barnsley....Bradford or Sheff Utd...then the usual suspects away Clee town, Gainsborough, Boston? ...although we played 10 games i think, which is surely to many?

Bury away would be much appreciated....

Having done the previous Scandinavian and Northern Ireland tours it would be nice to go there again and combine a holiday with it. From an entriely selfish point of view, a mini tour of non league Scotland would be nice as well, and with the benefit of Town being able to look at some really good non league players - it's the same grade that Bobby Cumming came from.

I hope they can manage to arrange a Tour of East Anglia. :)

There will of course be away fixtures against local non league teams.

Like Lincoln  ;D

Hasn't the Lincolnshire Cup mutated into an extended champions league-format now? That Scunny withdrew from.

On the presumption that we'll have a bigger squad, I think 10 games will be about right this summer.

Hopefully the local games of Clee Town and Ferriby will still be in place, would like to see a return to visiting Brigg too.

I like a few local games for  the pre-season.Now we are a League club again it is chance to visit some of the local lower league sides. Get a decent work out, a chance for fans to see the team in action and a few coffers for the other team. We are now a big draw again. I look forward to trips to Winterton, Brigg, Ferriby etc even maybe Lincoln City haha

Correct -

Town v Oldham pre season friendly -

LEAGUE One side Oldham Athletic will be in Cleethorpes for a pre season friendly game on Saturday 30th July.

The Latics, who finished 17th in their respective league last season, are currently without a manager after manager John Sheridan left for Notts County last week.

Wasn't it Oldham in a pre-season game which effectively ended Paul Bolland's GTFC career?

So we have a game against Cleethorpes in about 3 and a bit weeks and enough players for a 5 aside.  I am beginning to think that the club isn't managing the news to help season tickets but in fact we don't have any other players confirmed.    Otherwise we would have had some news today.

I know it's brave and ambitious to want to raise the level of the squad, but I'm starting to worry that we have made a massive error to leave us so exposed.

Please Paul, give us some good news before i get any more nervy!

We have got a game against Hull now on the 15th July,

We should have a full side by then. :)

I hope we get some players soon it could be embrassing having to very kindly ask Dave Moore to put his boots on.

Maybe the club are being judicious in delaying information to coincide with season ticket sales plus Hursty has a habit of prevaricating fans on transfers.

Question for the Trust?

Could a 4-pack deal be put in place for the friendlies? Perhaps attend the first 3 games and get the 4th for free?
