Beaten at home 2-1 by ten men Alfreton

Curtis woodhouse was in their dugout and training with their subs... Which is strange saying he is contracted to eastbourne I thought??                                  Alfreton must of had about 5 players sent off in their last three games the dirty sods!!

And Nathan Jarman scored the winner.

This is the first time Lincoln have failed to reach the First Round proper since 1925, when they lost the final qualifying round match to Alfreton Town; an amazing coincidence as pointed out by a poster on a Lincoln messageboard tonight.

History does have a very perculiar habit of repeating itself in footy.

This should put just a little perspective on the Ashington win. It was setting itself up nicely as an embarrassing loss, aided in some part by this board and posters predicting disaster. But at lease we had it in us to stop a Chasetown repeat.
We're not out of the mess by a long way but we are currently at least not as bad off as the other two ex-league jokes Darlo and Imps. A good display Saturday would help a lot though, but I dare not even dream of winning at Bath (can't believe I just wrote that)  :-/

Lincoln are really in the dumps and still dropping, at least we have bottomed out I think and team wise anyway are beguining to look like a midtable+ team

;D .... you are kidding mate? These bunch of spineless chancers are capable of anything, but certainly not anything like performing at a level that is remotely acceptable to me!

6 easy points over Xmas, I can virtually guarantee it! My only doubt is who will go into Admin first  :-/

The way Prescott is talking in the press today,it doesn't look good for us.Even if we don't get relegated this season,we could be booted out the league by going into administration.

I think Holdsworth might just turn us around signed Richard Hinds today and a new director has come on to the board.
People are thinking that a mysterious group of investors will come to our aid, like hell they will who would want to pay at least 600k to wipe out someone elses debt.
Whats required is hard work and graft for a few years but in todays pot noodle society thats not what  people want to hear.

I would be amazed if Holdsworth turned you around this season, but if you accept that turning around equates to staying in this forlorn league then you may be right

Can see both your tiny little non league clubs folding leaving one league team in our lovely county

Yes that is what i meant, not a starry eyed we will make the play off's lol.The amount of negativity is unreal BSN,admin it gets really boring as we all know we are in trouble yet some seen to feed off it.

We might be a little tiny non league club True Iron, but still get more fans turn up to watch us than you. Think even Ashington have a bigger away following than you.

Even if us and Lincoln fold, you have never had or will have the number of supporters we have. Think your support is on the level of Grimsby Borough and Clee Town.

You make me laugh Iron. i am sure your posts are just aimed to wind up 'cos you can't really believe some of the shite you come out with..can you???  if you do ...well. oh dear.....you should seek some professional  help with your mental state fella.

Life must be a bit dull if you feel the need to consistently come on another teams fan forum. You may think you get a rise out of the Town fans but the reality is  most  think it's a bit sad ... i feel a bit sorry for you.

if i ever feel the need to join a Scunthorpe site please someone shoot me because my life will have obviously hit rock bottom.

What's all this then, a mere 2 points and 2 places behind you?  ;D

The Imps are beyond the pale, that's not up for debate, but what on earth has happened to your Play-off certs? Pillaging South Lincolnshire hamlets of their 'cream' not really working out as expected is it Ponny?  ;)

Looks like he is slowly best performance in years for me yesterday, 3 new players now just a case of slowly building on that.

A little surprised to see Lincoln fans getting even remotely excited by their 'best performance' so far, good performances have regularly been followed by poor ones where Town are concerned. A narrow win over Barrow, and a 2-2 draw at Bath for two clubs heading for  somewhere just below mid-table come the seasons end and who will continue to torture their fans with baffling inconsistency.

Hmm! maybe, I think the biggest two games for both of us this season will be against each other, the rest of the season is gone IMO
