They are discussing on the Plymouth Forum ( PASOTI ) which team will be the biggest ever to play BSP. Most believe that the contenders are Town, Oxford, Luton, Wrexham & Argyle. What I don't understand is that they have no money to pay the players, but they travelled to Burton Albion on friday & stayed over night in an hotel. It would have been possible to have left Plymouth very early on Saturday, gone by coach to the midlands, trained for an hour somewhere near Burton, had a light lunch & arrived at the ground in good time. Money saved on hotel bills could have been used to pay the club staff.

Its a good question forgetting loyalty etc who is technically the best team (history wise - forgetting we aren't allowed to mention the past) to play in the bsp????

At the moment on history its us, 106 league seasons, 64 in top 2 tiers. 60%
Lincoln 104 Lge seasons 34 in top 2 tiers 32%
Luton 85 lge seasons 50 in top 2 tiers 58%
Stockport 99 Lge seasons 26 in top 2 tiers. 26%

Although Luton have had a few more in the top tier and of course a Lge cup win, and FA cup final.

Both Oxford and Plymouth have less seasons in lge and in top 2 tiers too.

Close between us and Luton, however Luton have bigger crowds so I'd say they edge it.

To be fair too, Lincoln may have been in the league nearly as long as us but nearly all of that time was scraping around the bottom division.

I find it sad that some Plymouth fans are apparently burying their heads of their shocking position...it's like Stockport all over again.

Yes you are right though, why spend money on things like hotels when they don't really need to and haven't got any...

bsp will be even more of a division 5 if northampton and playmouth were to go down and fleetwood and gateshead were to go up.
got to be a case for 3 up 3 down surely?

Yes, but keep it the same as L2 to L1, 3 up as of right, & 1 up as play off winners. This will ensure good gates at the end of the season as there will be 7 teams with something to play for (plus relegation "fights" as well which should be well attended). It also takes away the "we won't get back up for 10 years" fear factor.
I.M.O. this would be very fair as it allows up & coming teams like Crawley, Stevenage etc. to get their chance, & well loved town teams like Grimsby, Mansfield, Wrexham & Lincoln Luton to regain their previous league status.
