In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD

Fenty will be worried about the slide back to NL. He might also see a sacking (even if he appointed him) as taking some pressure off him personally and professionally.

The way we are playing I think we will lose on Tuesday night to Swindon. draw at Barnet, draw at home to Forest Green, lose at Notts County, lose at Luton and a defeat at home to Mansfield. That is 2 points out of 18 and I aren't convinced about getting anything against Barnet and Forest Green. These are worrying times and yes we are definitely in a relegation battle from here on in.
