Hi all,

we have released our latest podcast rounding up all the action from the 1st round of the greatest competition on earth

Also we have an interesting piece about Blackpool up on the site that has court ruling documents linked to it. Some very interesting findings regarding sums withdrawn in 'hidden' dividends by Oystons (about £26m if I'm reading correctly)

thanks
James

Is it really the "greatest competition on earth"? It might have been once but I doubt many supporters of the teams who usually win it would say that? The Champions League, World Cup, Olympics, Wimbledon, Super Bowl, US Open, Premier League all would have to be in the conversation as to what the greatest competition is.

I think "Used to be" the greatest competiton on earth is how it should be described.

It always was until the FA started mucking everything about, allowing teams not to enter, playing the semi-finals at Wembley, playing the final on the same days as there were Premier League games etc etc.

The FA Cup final was always the highlight of the season but sadly not anymore by a long way.
