Shut the intercourse up. The UK hasn’t fallen to bit as you predicted in fact we are doing quiet well and will do a lot better when cut free from the 4th Reich.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Wages have been stagnant for at least the last 10 years unless your different of cause.
Interest rates have gone up by a pittance after staying the same for donkeys years.
Inflation is still low.
We are in a far better state than most in the eurozone.
flipping good that car sales have dropped because it means people are getting a brain and not borrowing more than they can afford anyway most of the cars are from Germany.

You reckon it's a good sign that spending is going down? Clearly you weren't paying attention to what happened in 2008.

Car sales of UK built cars are up, it's just that the majority are exported where the revenue comes back into the Country.  If you're talking about sales of imported cars then it's a great pity for our German and French friends, excuse me while I wipe away a tear.
Interest rates have gone up by a massive 0.25%, meanwhile the majority of homeowners have had 10 years of compressed rates and the wise amongst them will have taken the opportunity to pay off a larger slice of the capital.
Wages stagnant, are you being serious?  I had a lengthy chat with a UNITE regional officer last week pre-wage negotiations, he openly admitted that he was going in with claims of 5 to 7% fully expecting to settle between 3 and 4%.

I think my vote will go to Arsene Wenger for his dive comments, the man is so far out of touch that I'm no longer sure who is more deluded, him or the people at the club who continue to employ him.

What do you think he wasn't paying attention to in 2008?  Was it the financial institutes lending too much money to people who simply weren't credit worthy or couldn't afford it?  Correct me if I'm wrong but the whole financial system resembled a house of cards based on under-capitalised lending institutions.  As soon as the saving elements of society realised the terrible risks that had been taken they tried to limit their own individual liabilities (business and private), this revealed a series of under-capitalised banks and the credit bubble was thankfully burst.  So yes, it is a good thing that spending is going down in alignment with affordability.

Paradise Paper Non-scandal. The Queen still pays tax on her oversea hedge funds. I wish people got this angry over real issues, like the massive oversea investments of foreign aid to Nuclear Weaponised countries like Pakistan and India whilst the NHS is on it's knees and we need more houses, or the NGOs funded by globalists non-state actors actively conducting illegal migration. *Rant over!*

Hmmm. Ever thought that the NHS might perhaps not be on its knees if the wealthy people sending their money to tax havens (only the wealthy can afford the necessary lawyers and accountants, of course), erm, didn't? You can claim they aren't breaking the law, but if you set up a trust, send money, paying a nominal fee and then get interest-free 'loans' back which never need to be repaid and which aren't supposedly liable for tax, there is no doubt you are being crooked in my view. You want to live in a country and benefit from public services, you should bloody well pay for it, not try to avoid paying your way. If you think you are being overtaxed, then move somewhere else, don't try to avoid your obligations.

The point I'm making is that rapid slow downs in consumer spending throw the economy into recession and lead to more unemployment, more debt, lower tax revenues.....so whilst getting debt down to affordable levels is 'a good thing' in theory, in practice it's a lot trickier to achieve without being counter-productive. This is what happened in 2008 and we're still paying the price, and the way out that successive governments have chosen was more of the same. The slowdown in consumer spending because of fears of unsustainable debt became a del-fulfilling prophecy.

As for lower car sales, apart from lower imports ('a good thing') there will be fewer sales of cars made in the UK ('a bad thing'). Getting more local, fewer cars shipped through GY (even if they are German made)so if anyone gets laid off I'm sure you'd be happy to point out to them it's in the national interest.

Whoever agreed to throw away £30,000 of Trust member's money just to have a token impotent representative in the board

As part of the deal to get a place on the Board of GTFC the Trust were given the contract to run the Blundell Park bars. Whilst it is true that (mainly thanks to Sharon and her staff)  the Trust have significently improved the revenue coming from the bars it is utterly inconceivable that without the income from the bars the Trust would've got within a country mile of achieving sufficient income generation to pay for the seat on the GTFC board. It is equally inconceivable that had The Trust not taken up the offer to run the bars the club wouldn't have run them for themselves and cut out the middle man ensuring any profit went direct to GTFC. In short the club gave us the means to raise 30K out of money they would've got a fair proportion of anyway. Thanks to good management of those facilities we actually benefit from income well above what we pay which helps us with our other commitments.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

That 30k could be well spent on Youth Development rather than going into the 'coffers'

For "Twit of The Week" I'd nominate the Hyde Utd fan who, before their first ever live televised FA Cup match against MK Dons, thought it would be a good idea to throw a flare onto their "plastic" pitch and burn a great big hole in it, jeopardising the game. What a tool.

I'm sorry but I don't see what that has to do with my paragraph. If we didn't run the bars the likelihood is that the club would run them themselves. They could spend the money then on what they liked.
Over the time I've been involved with the Trust we have held many events for the benefit of the Youth Development but as you will be aware there is now the YDA who will fund raise for the Youth System.

Come on Barra, how much profit was the club making off the bars before? You know they'd be making less money to spend on what they liked.

Depends who knew the 'Secret' and whether she is being hung out to dry.  If anyone in the normal public believes  the full truth will  'out' on such a sensitive issue they are naive to the ways of such goings on.

Well, let's be honest, most of us have had a dozen business meetings when away on a personal holiday with family for a couple of weeks. Business meetings for a different department at work which we forgot to mention to our bosses and accompanied by a lobbyist for the country we're visiting.

Sorry, I meant 14 business meetings, not the dozen I originally claimed.

Seems perfectly honest and above-board to me.

Unless of course those 'meetings' could prove to be bad PR for your company, as they could cause embarrassment.  So  although your 'boss' may 'unofficially'  have known (and probably paid for that holiday), you were always going to be on your own if it went 'mammaries up' !!!  Obviously I am not in the know about this incident.  But I would wager serious money there is more to it than meets the eye.

Nah - I reckon she's just bloody useless. Nothing clever going on in front of or behind the scenes in this government, that's for sure.

Looks like she's been incompetent enough to get herself sacked, which is going some with this bunch. Telling lies to parliament when you're an MP really isn't too clever.

Then that just compounds her stupidity (apart from the lies) by getting herself in a position where she's hung out to dry.

Personally I don't think tis government are smart enough to come up with a conspiracy without it quickly coming out and unravelling. It's member-up.

Steve Wraith - Who actually is a decent bloke but he's just been living in a one party state for too long and like many in that state have become very mentally lazy.

There would be more money for the NHS if we didn't allow the BBC to pay twits like Gary Lineker so that he can send millions of his cash abroad.

However there would be far more cash available if we didn't keep sending over 13 billion pounds in overseas aid. Charity begins at home.

So arry, is any political party promising to spend that £13billion on the NHS? Like the £375 million a week extra we were told is available if we left the EU.

Or is the reality that it will just go in tax cuts for the rich?
