Wages have been stagnant for at least the last 10 years unless your different of cause.
Interest rates have gone up by a pittance after staying the same for donkeys years.
Inflation is still low.
We are in a far better state than most in the eurozone.
flipping good that car sales have dropped because it means people are getting a brain and not borrowing more than they can afford anyway most of the cars are from Germany.

You reckon it's a good sign that spending is going down? Clearly you weren't paying attention to what happened in 2008.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

It's not looking too good is it. Car sales down for the 7th month in a row. Interest rates rising because of inflation. Wages stagnant.

Car sales of UK built cars are up, it's just that the majority are exported where the revenue comes back into the Country.  If you're talking about sales of imported cars then it's a great pity for our German and French friends, excuse me while I wipe away a tear.
Interest rates have gone up by a massive 0.25%, meanwhile the majority of homeowners have had 10 years of compressed rates and the wise amongst them will have taken the opportunity to pay off a larger slice of the capital.
Wages stagnant, are you being serious?  I had a lengthy chat with a UNITE regional officer last week pre-wage negotiations, he openly admitted that he was going in with claims of 5 to 7% fully expecting to settle between 3 and 4%.

I think my vote will go to Arsene Wenger for his dive comments, the man is so far out of touch that I'm no longer sure who is more deluded, him or the people at the club who continue to employ him.

What do you think he wasn't paying attention to in 2008?  Was it the financial institutes lending too much money to people who simply weren't credit worthy or couldn't afford it?  Correct me if I'm wrong but the whole financial system resembled a house of cards based on under-capitalised lending institutions.  As soon as the saving elements of society realised the terrible risks that had been taken they tried to limit their own individual liabilities (business and private), this revealed a series of under-capitalised banks and the credit bubble was thankfully burst.  So yes, it is a good thing that spending is going down in alignment with affordability.

Paradise Paper Non-scandal. The Queen still pays tax on her oversea hedge funds. I wish people got this angry over real issues, like the massive oversea investments of foreign aid to Nuclear Weaponised countries like Pakistan and India whilst the NHS is on it's knees and we need more houses, or the NGOs funded by globalists non-state actors actively conducting illegal migration. *Rant over!*

You'd best be having a quick word with the Government then because India and Pakistan are going to be flagship post Brexit trade deal countries..

Hmmm. Ever thought that the NHS might perhaps not be on its knees if the wealthy people sending their money to tax havens (only the wealthy can afford the necessary lawyers and accountants, of course), erm, didn't? You can claim they aren't breaking the law, but if you set up a trust, send money, paying a nominal fee and then get interest-free 'loans' back which never need to be repaid and which aren't supposedly liable for tax, there is no doubt you are being crooked in my view. You want to live in a country and benefit from public services, you should bloody well pay for it, not try to avoid paying your way. If you think you are being overtaxed, then move somewhere else, don't try to avoid your obligations.
