Was that Akeem Rose scoring goals?  What is the latest with him?

If the football is bad you can always watch the gulls.

Fantastic night surreal feeling watching superb passing flowing football almost Bucklyesk at it.s finest pinging thirty yard passes along with some slick one touch passing/moving to feet from both sides.

Very proud of every player last night some of the players on trial looked very fast and skillful but how good was D,J. Outstanding.

Great moment for Diz he will treasure that DVD along side the others.

yep he scored and looked good but as no real pressure was on him he had a steady few minutes and a gentle workout.

Somebody should have told Scott Brown it was a friendly though he still got some big tackles in and looked quite dominant lol.

Ross Hannah and Liam Hearn looked really sharp Liam in particular had one lovely effort equally well saved by Kloppy.

What a piece of magic it was from I think Clarke to pretend to encroach on the penalty ages after it had been missed, pure comedy that whole penalty situation

Nice to see Jamie Osborne back on his feet... will add a huge amount to the team with his passing.

It was a rather strange and very unusual experience to be cheering for both teams!

Watching that made me realise one thing above all else:

Our recruitment in non-league brought some genuinely nice people to our club. Disley was obviously one, but you look at Hannah, Hearn, Gowling, Pearson, LJL... could name plenty more. They're hard workers, grafters, honest players. Might not have always been successful, but they put shifts in, no doubt about that.

A different breed from what you find in the league. I feel like league players 'cruise' through their careers. Non-league players fight for their careers. Those lads are light years away from the nonsense journeymen we brought in when we got relegated in 2010.

We did have some good times in non-league. Don't want to go back there, obvs, but I felt a stronger connection with the team and players back then.

Yes it was and I decided to cheer for Diss`s team, so many old favourites and memories you just had to, and the football on show from them even in a friendly showed what we have missed
