St Peters and Clee for me too and St Peters over Bursar every time. Boncey was OK but Miss Drewery scared the shite out of me.

Delighted Clee is to be saved and used again. I went to a 'last look at the old school' thingy a few years ago and we sang the school song and 'Gaudeamus' in the hall. The place was in a terrible state with the quadrangle waist high in weeds, an old container and what looked like a chicken run from when the comprehensive lot were there.

The classrooms on the top corridor suddenly seemed very small and memories of Pud Parr, Harry Bert Marshall and Ben Leake came flooding back. Found where I'd carved my name on a bench in Jake Rawson's woodwork room. Just a shame the 'new block' pool, dining hall and presumably gym have been demolished. At the time of the reunion there was a fear the original earliest part of the school was going too.

Yours must have been shite then. The Bursar St pool was always out of action.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,

Good that it's being appropriated for the children of the working class then!

Jake is still with us. The others long gone. Tom Robinson ( no not that one Kingston) is having an exhibition of his art at Caistor this Saturday.
