My thoughts as well. Can only hope we're still level at 60 minutes for Matt and Jones to come on -  trouble is Dembele will be spent.

Nice one James 😤😤😉

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Should have put it away.
As much as I like the lad how long can we wait for some end product from him??

Average first half. Summerfield looking a class above. Look how good we can be if we pass the ball in the deck for all the happy clappers who said it was impossible for league 2 players

Not bad. not good, Summerfield showing the other 21 players how to pass a ball quickly, but another stupid goal due to Maccas lack of abilty in his 6 yard box I would of caught that cross and I only play 6 aside now

Looked better towards the end of the half, but my god both teams are dire. Colchester are no better than half the teams we played in the conference, which doesn't say much about us at the minute. At least when we've actually played a ball along the floor, we've looked better. Some of Summerfield's passing particularly has made the game bareable.

Slade breaks form. His first sub off is not Dembele but Hooper for Matt

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Bit rubbish really, we always seem to be chasing the game regardless of the quality of the opposition. A decent 20-30 minute spell rarely ends in us scoring and inevitably it's the other team who grab one.
Don't know what to make of it, 10 games in and it all still looks so muddled.

Jaiysimi (or however you spell it) was very good when he came on. I'd imagine he's pushing dembele and woolford for their places. And if Jones and Matt aren't our front 2 when I hear the team read out on Saturday, I may cry. In all honesty, I fear for us Saturday. Colchester were utter shite, and despite creating much more than them, we still couldn't beat them.

Poor crowd tonight. Reaping the rewards.

Going by the table I don't think Lincoln are much better than us, so I'd have it as evens on Saturday.

Why we cant just keep putting the crosses in when we have the chance instead of dithering about until we lose it is bl***y frustrating. While DJ and Dembele are skilfull they tend to overcomplicate it and we just end up losing the ball. The coaches should replay the game with them and drill it into their brain "This is what we are trying to do lads, what the fcuk are YOU trying to do?" They are not alone in that though.

Maybe its just me?

I think DJ has decent decision making. He gets into the box and tries to play it low across the box. Dembele seems to go absent out wide and offers little support. I think he would be much better as a wide front man on the shoulder in a 4-3-3.

The main issues are we have nobody in midfield picking up the second ball and our defence always looks like conceding.

Sorry but that was awful. The best spell was when the fog thickened for quarter of an hour and we could see sodomist all.

Colchester going forward were decent with a bit of pace and the ability that go past players. At the back they were shocking and a better side would really have punished them. Despite the flack they get the back four are decent enough defensively, but get little support. The long ball led to our first goal but also led to a painful display.

Couldn't go tonight but listened on RH but apart from the lad who got their goals both sides sounded pretty poor, only positive as Hagrid said is we came from behind twice DJ needs to start for me but not sure where,

Colchester, a team of athletes with one good player. Unfortunately, we let him score a couple of goals. First one after Dembele somehow failed to even attempt a tackle and then McKeown somehow let the shot straight through him. Second one a decent one-two in midfield as they broke forward and nobody went with Reid, giving him plenty of time to pick a spot. Very disappointing when we otherwise defended well. Nobody else in their team was up to much and we should certainly have done a bit more in attack though they were hardly as terrible as some seem to think.

Dembele just had to bury that chance before half time and it should then have been a different game.

Oh well, positives are that we came back (twice). Played one or two decent bits of footy on occasion, though not often enough. Hooper did well for his goal though struggled after that due to a knock, good options on the bench for a change. Just not very convincing (yet, I hope).
