As far as Hurst goes he had passed his sell by date as far as Town were concerned.

Bignot was an utter crack pot.

Slades time was over years ago.

Cheers Fenty ye toss pot.

No fence-sitting going on there then!

Why are people still raving about Paul hurst ffs,it took him nearly 5 years to get us back in the league and we Had to watch some s*i*e performances along the way, we scraped promotion and he tore the team to shreds ??? Remember we went bottom yes bottom of the conference !!! listening to his interviews well let's not even go there bore off yes he's doing well now but that's in the past he's gone people need to get over it,we got rid of bignot far to early because john wanted his mate back and we are still no better off now than what we were then ever since Fenty has been here he's made urine poor decisions season after season,we have no ambition going forward forget about the stadium we've been waiting for that for over 20 years tough times at the club atm and it needs sorting fast because at this rate we are looking like we are gonna end up we're we have just come from yes we're only 6 games in but the team looks poor all over the pitch attendances are dropping home and away it's Very worrying only my opinion but something has to give and fast !!!

Bignot had a 3 year plan. Which was to overhaul the club which included the training and medical facilities and to look at the youth set up. Main priority was to ensure survival last season.
Fenty does not like spending money. So Bignot had to go. There were one or two players who had been there for some time and did not like what they saw so told Fenty bignot had lost the dressing room. Load of rubbish, but it gave Fenty an excuse to get rid.

I'd like to know what the incident was to lead to Bignots sacking. Something not serious enough for instant dismissal, but not un-serious enough to try and smooth things over (like chucking a plate at a players face), but semi-serious enough to let the guy know he was heading out of the door but had to attend the next game in full knowledge it was his last.
But of course in the Boards statement it was none of these, and down to performances and results.

On the field stuff is bad enough but pales to the mess we have off it. I'm tempted to let a bunch of sem-trained chimps into the GTFC boardroom and let them loose on the phones, paperwork and fax machines and see if we notice the difference.

Potentially, we could end up with the complete works of Shakespeare  !!!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Gender specific assignment so out of date have you not heard of gender fluidity.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

Exactly in what way do the Trust represent the rank and file supporters.

Looks like the Trust are listening to you Friskney.

On Saturday there is an open meeting for members and non members alike to express their views on the future direction of the Trust. To say what you want of the Trust moving forward, to say what is important to you.

I really hope people attend rather than voicing their disapproval through social media. You have a chance to shape the future. Hope you use it.

Dont be shy

Next Saturday between 11 and 12 we are hosting an open meeting to discuss any issues you want. Members and non members are welcome to attend and ask questions to the Chair and Vice Chair of the Trust. If you can't make the meeting you can send questions in advance which we will answer on the day - send to enquiries@mariners.co.uk We are also hoping to broadcast live on the web. The meeting will take place in the Trust bar in the Lower Findus.

I would add for the likes of Barra/Kristine that i thought this would have already been posted and even more so wonder why it isnt on the website??

I'm really struggling with the whole point of the Hurst/Bignot saga every day.
PH came, did and ok job, got "promoted" to Shrewsbury. He's gone so forget him
Marcus may have had a 3 year plan for off the field but it was chaos on it. If the rumours are to be believed training was badly organised, player discipline (timekeeping etc.) was falling apart and anyone with ability would have left anyway had he stayed. Personally I'm surprised it took JF as long as it did to pull the trigger. He's gone so forget him as well.
We are in the mire today and that's well worth talking about. If RS has any sense he'll be sitting down with the players and trying to inject a sense of pride and a strategy for the next few games. If he can't he should be gone by October. If he can, I'll be delighted. I'm thinking of Exeter who this time last year were pants but finished in the play offs
