Absolutely not the A46 as the airshow is on and all traffic is being diverted round that way.  M1 for sure, post code and that is on the SLO twitter account.

Not sure why given the option between the 180 or the 46 anyone would choose the 46 anyway unless they're driving some sort of heavy military or agricultural vehicle?

Depends where your start point is and if you're picking people up on the way.

Parking @ the ground is £5

Parking @ the train station is £3

Don't park in the retail park, you will get a ticket.

Train Station car park is tiny tho' best bet is the dairy on Quarry Lane, think from memory last season that was £5 too.

If you haven't got SATNAV, type  AA autoroute into google.

It's only 85 miles (approx, before the pedants jump in), but I'd allow at least two hours.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Because the A180/M180/M18/M1 is a boring fcking noisy road that some people have to drive throughout the week so to get off it is a pleasure.....also slinging your highly tuned performance sports car ( or Astra 1.6 estate   )  around the back roads is more enjoyable too.

Alternatively you could also come off the M18 at the A1 and down through the Ollerton route ?

Tomorrow will be my 11th and 12th journeys along the 180/18 this week so I know the pain of those roads. Due to points and high insurance premiums most journeys are boring for me in my 2.0l Insignia (which doesn't exactly make things interestig anyway!).

Isn't that tautological?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

She doesn't need my help getting herself any points. I'd say she's more likely to get three points than Town today!

On a side issue, I passed by a car of Town fans that had broken down on the M18 just after the Thorne services slip road

By the time I realised they were our fans I'd gone too far along to pull up on the hard shoulder but I felt a bit bad that I couldn't stop to help out....not mechanically but logistically to get them to the game

On second thoughts now, if they didn't get to the game and can get refunds on their tickets not having been used, it's probably just as well I didn't pull over to give them a lift to the ground, so actually did them a favour not stopping
