Also I know it's a silly question can u bring bottles of water from here to France in your luggage as well as some food e.g., crisps and that.

Been there and was ace,  my 3 year old likes Halloween so going over that time seems a good bet costing a grand which tickets included travel to and from parks and ferry ect seems a decent deal.
