So is tomorrow a must win game, if we lose but play exciting attacking football and it can be seen there is improvement would it be ok. Personally I would take a win of any sorts otherwise I can see it being a long and anxious season.

We will be fine if we can get goalscorer in from somewhere,we have players coming back from injuries/fitness issues and also from bans etc imo it's a big game as they all are,Wycombe are always up for it and are a big strong physical side would like to see k osbourne involved tomorrow we have been leaking goals and he has a bit more strength and pace about him than Clarke/Collins maybe deal with the beast a bit better lol 3 points would do very nicely and maybe get us back on track again after an impressive performance vs derby the other night UTM

It's an important game as every other league game is. Not sure it can be classed as must win though, with 126 points left to play for after it.

Wouldn't say must win but if we lose its a big big sign the squad is not up to scratch .
I just hope we don't line up with one striker and berrett and summerfield pulling the strings.

Agree with Jonny. I think that would be very disheartening.

I suspect we will line up with one striker and I guarantee that one of the above will start. And he was very good on Tuesday!

Last season we lost 4 of the first 5 games and we could have got to the playoffs if Bignot had not given up so no I dont think loosing tomorrow is a season ending disaster, I think we have a better squad than last season just lacking a striker and fit midfielders

We're a 30 goal a season striker down on last year's squad.

I dont disagree but I think we have more chance of getting goals from midfield than last season. I cant see us getting a 30 goal a season striker now though.

Not what I said Herts. Obviously I'm talking about Bogle. Now I know he didn't get thirty but he was certainly on target for that when he left. I was making the point that the squad is poorer in the striker department as a balance to Rob's comment that the squad is better than it was a year ago. I didn't say it was a must win game. I assume your 'cobblers' is aimed at someone else?

Got it.......... I agree with we are massively short and this coupled with no real creativity in mid field is limiting shots on goal, we are struggling at the moment Yeah the cobblers comment was aimed at the theory rather than any individual KM . This will be a rocky period and I sense we need to bring in a U23 striker from a big side like we did with the lad from Everton last season at the very least as well as get some of the crocks back before anything changes

Last season Bogle had scored 19 by January. Jones scored 7 between Janand the end of the season. clements scored 4. This shows how crucial Bogle was for us and one of the reasons we faded in the second half of the season after he left. Put simpy he has not been replaced.

I think there's an element of the team needing to settle down, as with any squad that's been overhauled so massively as we have in the last 14 months. Added to which are the sendings off and injuries. The great thing about this division is that you could get promoted if you finish seventh. You will avoid relegation if you finish 22nd. I'm neither complacent nor a happy-clapper, but there's plenty of time yet.

Problem is how do you replace a million pound player without spending a million pound

The sad thing is that we have potentially got one but he hasn't been fit since he got here (Asante).

Yeh its a big shame I had high hopes for Asante I was having a moan about our squad last night but thought about the injuries and imagine if we had a midfield of mcallister and clements, with jones and asante up front, personally i'd have so much more faith in that squad, and dissapointed we seem to now be misusing jones as I was sure he was going to get us 10+ goals easily this season (and the reason ive not mentioned osbourne as I beleive he has the longest term injury whereas its possible we could put out the lineup I mentioned above in the near future)

We're 3 games in FFS. Must win game my bottom. Jones not getting ten goals my bottom. He's got 1 goal in 3 games so far, hardly the end of the world.
Would a win today be welcomed? You're bloody right it would!

In one sense it almost is, say we draw or even lose just by an odd goal, (even worse play like a shower of sh1t3) how many less will turn up next Saturday, non season ticket holders can be a fickle lot and in the end the more people who pay on the gate, more chance of better playing budget. We've prob only got 1 cup comp left to have a run in and need to get to 3rd round to draw a real moneyspinner.
