Don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere else but what is the record for consecutive red cards for a club? We must be close to beating that unwanted record surely!

Should we be concerned about our disciplinary record or have the players just been unlucky in large part?

I can only speak for the Stevenage game but from what I saw Jones' was certainly not a red and their guy made a meal of it - has anything been said about us appealing?

Whatever way we look at it this can't continue. Slade called Matt Deans question on discipline issues within the squad as 'ridiculous' but it's clearly a problem that needs addressing.

Ending on a positive note, by all accounts the performance last night was a marked improvement but was that just because Derby allowed us more time and space that we wouldn't get in the league?

Saturday has become a very important game now and with Wycombe losing 4-0 last week, a game who h could hopefully turn the tide out way.

My big grievance with it all Slade's denial that there is a problem. Last night's radio interview "woah woah woah, rash challenges?!?"

If ALL the yellow cards were like Davies' first last night (where he apparently got the ball cleanly) then fair enough. But that has FAR FROM been the case...

Zak Mills second yellow - could have easily been a red, he effectively stamps/rakes his leg down the chesterfield player's leg

James Berrett second yellow - could see it coming from a mile off, the player had already passed the ball before Berrett took to the skies. Idiocy when already on a yellow.

Ben Davies second yellow - kicking the ball away. What a clown. How long has he been playing the game? Stupid.

All of these are poor discipline in my opinion. So YES there is a problem currently.

Did Ben Davies get sent off for kicking the ball away? I thought the second yellow was for bringing the man down when he was racing into our half.

It looked to me that Davies was the one who kicked the ball for the second yellow last night. Even if he didn't and their player was the one who got their a millisecond before him, it wasn't exactly a cynical or late challenge. A very unlucky red card in my view and, judging by a later decision by the referee where he let a booked player get away with a cynical trip unpunished, not one which would have been given to them. Still no idea what Davies' first booking was for - I assumed it was dissent as another of our defenders was booked at the same time for a challenge.

It is all the bookings and sending offs that worries me more than the results,

We overcame a bad start last season and we need to do it again this season,

BUT

We will not do it if we keep getting men sent off.

Soon Slade won't need to rotate the first team, the red cards will do it for him, maybe that's why he said there wasn't a problem, it makes his job easier.

From where I sat in the main stand it looked like Davies body checked their player for the second yellow. Silly to do that when you have already been booked. He did not protest much just walked to the tunnel. Players must realise if you are on a yellow card you have to be careful.

Just had a look at the league rules. I am worried that we could be charged with misconduct if this continues. As far as I can see the could fine us, but not go as far as a points deduction.

And let's be honest, you couldn't blame them if they did. It's a pathetic record and one which we need to improve on... and quick!!

The odd thing is that we're far from a dirty or cynical team but we're in a run of red cards which is pretty much unprecedented from my recollection. I think at least two or three of them were a touch unfortunate including the one from last night.

As daft as it seems, I could cope with dirty or cynical.  But these are just stupid accumulations of yellows or off the ball elbows etc.  Total lack of discipline I'm afraid.

I've just watched the highlights, I think Davies is unlucky to get a yellow he takes the ball then the man with his momentum, but where the ref is stood theres no way he saw the ball being taken first

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

The ref was our old friend Trevor Kettle.

Every time he's reffed us there has been cotrversay.  He seems to be one of those refs that we always seem to get the rough end of the stick with.

I wish he protected Boliwinwa as much as he seemed to protect their players. Tom was on the receiving end of equally bad tackles that got Davies sent off but chose to keep his cards in his pocket. He could have easily booked the Derby players for some of the cynical tackles on Tom and produced a red.

Ben Davies' first booking was for kicking the ball away after a daft foul by Dixon who got booked as well.

His second, and I have looked at it several times where he doesn't appear to get the ball, was for taking their player out.

James Berrett could easily have been sent off for the rash tackle he got booked for.

I think Russell Slade is deluding himself.

Not seen the replay, but on the night, the second looked like he got the ball to me and, if not, was perhaps just a fraction later into the challenge than their player. Not worthy of a booking in my opinion and certainly not worth a second yellow for a red card. However, if you get a stupid first booking, you're always at risk from a poor refereeing decision. Of which we seem to get plenty.

That was my initial reaction, but having viewed it frame by frame he doesn't seem to connect as the ball continues in the same trajectory as the Derby player was running so if he didn't connect then as I stated earlier his challenge however close to actually getting the ball did result in taking the Derby player out and stopping his run so on that basis the ref probably didn't have much choice.

However I still think the ref was crap as he could have easily sent Pearce off for them.

From my position, it was a blatant red card, a full elbow to the chest. Stupid move, right in view of the ref who was watching the defender for holding Jones. We might have got a penalty had he not retaliated.

If you adk me its pure frustration.  Jones playing out of position not making an impact from the wing getting more and more frustrated.  Mills second yellow was a little unfortunate as i believe he was targeted by Dennis.  Anyway we just need to keep diggin in we'll come good im sure.

We are hardly 70's Leeds Utd are we?

Just think we've been unfortunate myself. I've seen far more dirty and cynical teams get away with murder in recent seasons. Different ref on a different day may have let a couple of them go.

Each of the double yellow sendings off have had a very soft yellow in them, so did the two sendings off in the City v Everton game the other night. Personally think that, whilst undesirable, none of the cards have affected the results of the games and we need to learn how to dive as well as others seem to.

Not seen the highlights so although I cannot comment on the specific performance of the referee last night I can assure you that he is one, if not the, worst referee in the football league. See some of the games he has done in the past on YouTube. How he is allowed to do the job is beyond me. Always got to be the centre of attention. Always been a bell end since he was at school and clearly never changed.

And yes I was at school with him and in the same cricket team as him and it was all me me me.

Complete tool.

It is only my opinion though!

Ironically when we have days/refs are being pulled in the direction of our opponent's, I have said to my father in law that we are too nice and if we played to the ref like other teams do we might just get a few of the decisions. I'm not saying that we are always fault free and discipline is not an issue it is. My dad is a scunts fan and has said we are consistent. Finishing with only 10. Lets pack the park on sat and get back behind the boys and get 3 points.
