I know the Coachhouse showed the Chesterfield away game live on Ifollow. I messaged them on Saturday asking them not to show home games as it would impact the gate and they appeared to have relented.

However, on their facebook page today, they are advertising Town V Derby live tonight. So they look to have changed their stance, absolutely disgraceful IMO. They are selfish and greedy and will damage the club. The Coachy is my local, I will boycott the place if they continue. I can to a degree understand them streaming away games, as they away club gets all the gate receipts I believe. But not home games.

I believe the club are aware and have reported them to the EFL, I am not sure of the legalities but it would be useful if Town fans could comment on their facebook page.

By the way, the Derby game is not on IFollow tonight so anyone turning up there tonight to watch Town will be disappointed.

Update - they have removed one thread which received numerous negative comments but currently still have a graphic on their page advertising the game in the pub.

I reckon they have removed the main advert as they now know the league cup game isn't streamed. I will keep an eye on them and report back. If anyone hears of any other pubs doing similar, please post and please let the club know as it will damage the attendances.

I've messaged the owner politely requesting he reconsiders screening home games.

How do they manage to show the game, surely the club has to allow it first?
Or am I missing something?

I believe the EFL own the rights. The short answer is they can't show the game, but the are doing anyway. They definitely can't show tonights game v Derby, Ifollow only covers EFL games, and I've checked and it isn't on some foreign satellite either.

If only there was someone at the club who was good at threatening legal action

In all seriousness it's completely out of order and could hurt gates. I'm sure it will be stopped.

This wont happen.
They have used false information to get the ifolloe account and there will be a clause in the t&c's about public broadcasting

The match cannot be viewed live on Ifollow but the full match will be available after 12.00pm tomorrow, well on the Derby site anyway.

The Bluestone pub in Immingham got a £20,000 fine after illegally showing Sky Sports games without a public broadcast license in place last year - so did another local but can't remember who?

Having said that, all EFLeague & Cup games are filmed with a live feed being sent to a central location.

Whether this can be accessed I have no idea and neither am I tech savvy, I'm still using a VHS recorder.

True, I cannot believe (or possibly can) that the EFL haven't taken into account that it looks so easy to access live coverage whilst living in the UK using a VPN.

My lad started painting matchstalk men and stuff.  So I took his paint and brushes off him. Fancy thinking anyone could make money out of such trash.

BPV is an upstanding member of the community who could see somebody breaking broadcasting licenses and rightly brought it to the attention of the wider public, hoorah BPV.  Saved our village reputation and most likely our football club to boot.

Obviously a lifetime in the fish industry where everyone is law abiding and never does anything remotely under the radar has paid dividends in this case.

I would imagine Realist would be more than happy for every pub in and around Grimsby/Cleethorpes to screen all Towns matches live, he would then be happy in the knowledge that with less fans attending matches there would be no need for a new stadium to be built on his precious dog walking field.

The owners of the Coach House are money mad knob jockey's. If the actual GTFC and Derby teams played the game live in the bar with a goal at each end, i still wouldn't go in there to watch. Terrible pub.

This is my point. It is  illegal to watch live streams in the UK due to the EFL contract with Sky. But in another thread you tell people how to bypass the country restriction on their device so they can see it. Talk about being a first class hypocrite.

Remember this Bpvicar? I should foward it to Sky to protect their interests

Quite simply, you would download the VPN app to your Iphone / Ipad through the App Store and log in to the VPN. Choose a foreign country, France being a good choice (as close server compared to USA) then access IFollow.

Remember this Bpvicar? I should foward it to Sky to protect their interests

Quite simply, you would download the VPN app to your Iphone / Ipad through the App Store and log in to the VPN. Choose a foreign country, France being a good choice (as close server compared to USA) then access IFollow.

Andrew should you not be lambasting the 5k+ residents who want to save the barge or the hundreds complaining about flooding instead of being on here?

Piece in the Cleethorpes Chronicle about this.
Fishy gets a mention !!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
