Ian...  Have you contacted Matt Dean on this? get the local news on to it and this will soon spread

TBH Matt Dean is one person I havent hit yet.

Trying to get in contact with a variety of local and national sources however to get the word out. I'm expecting that as soon as one source hits it, then others will soon follow......hopefully anyway.

Would it perhaps be a good idea to run a ticket count type thing?  I'll bet there  - could comfortably get more than BP. Be really good if we could get some Donny fans on board too ?

Sleep well Icey, Matty and Richard. Keep each other company up there xx

Hi Brad

There is a ticket count on the website so we know how many have been sold.

That's why we are asking people to get a ticket online before paying on the gate.

Bit of a pain, but without it we don't know how many are coming and to take payments online would've cost us around 2-3% of all takings

I've had a few people in social media saying they'd never do it because it's taking money away form the club, if you're worried about that go and spend some money in the club shop next time you're at BP which you'd have spent going to this joke of a competition UTM

Clubs weren't making any money on this competition anyway, as it was dying on it's ar$e and fans were staying away. It's the reason cited for trying to revive it with this new format, though i think that's crap myself and Harvey saw an opportunity to throw a bit of money at lower league clubs to lure them in. I have no qualms about boycotting this competition as i think it will eventually bite the smaller clubs on the ar$e, for the benefit of the bigger clubs, who want to rule over everything.

Funny you should say that. I'm reading Lord of the Rings at the moment.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Hi folks

unfortunately there is some building work taking place at the Linden Club which would mean that we are unable to use the facilities on the 29th August.

However, we have moved this to take place at Lucarly's, still in a 7:15pm kick off on the 29th August. Of course we apologise if this causes anyone any inconvenience, but we are very grateful to Lucarly's for stepping in to support us at such short notice.

It does mean that we are able to facilitate foods sales including a BBQ, weather permitting, so all of your food and drink needs will be covered.

Hello all,

Just an update on our match with a fortnight to go. It will be hosted at Lucarly's KO 7:15. Thanks to some fantastic work from the guys involved and some overwhelming generosity from Lucarly's and others we no longer have as many overheads to cover which means the game will now be "Pay what you like"

If you wish to attend could you please "purchase" a FREE ticket from the website. https://internet-mariners.yapsody.com/

It's vital we get an attendance figure so we can hopefully beat the one from BP that night.

We will have donation buckets at the match or you can donate from the same website.

We'll be on Radio Humberside tomorrow morning at 8:20 to talk in more detail about it all if you'd like to tune in.

Any questions we'll be happy to answer them.

Excellent news.
Let's hope there is plenty of media coverage.
I will be encouraging everyone I can to attend.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
