You've seen the rumours, well here's the full details.

I am delighted to announce that the Internet Mariners fans team will be playing against Donny R'sonists on August 29th in a 7:15pm kick off at the Linden Club. Our overall aim is to have more fans at our game then there are at Blundell Park, but we also wanted to support some fantastic local charities and all proceeds will be split between the 3 organisations below:

Grimsby Town Disabled Supporters Club

Inspire TCI - http://www.supportinglocalchampions.co.uk/

Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice Doncaster - http://www.bluebellwood.org/

Tickets for the game are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions, with all money payable on the gate. Although you can download tickets or find more information at: https://internet-mariners.yapsody.com/

Alternatively if you would like to donate, but not attend the game, then please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/checkatrade-boycott

We want this game to be a huge success for us as fans but also in raising our message. So any additional support be it raising the publicity of the event, donating money or even your time to volunteer on the night is greatly appreciated!

Come down, enjoy the game and the atmosphere and lets do something huge

Great work Biggles and the other Internet Mariners and Donny R'sonists.

Gonna try to make it (subject to getting time off from work). If I can't I'll donate.

This deserves a lot of publicity. Anyone been able to share info with journalists? Maybe that bloke who works for the Daily Heil Mail can give it a platform.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Would be great if Town fans can really get behind this game, and more importantly support the reasons for staging the game. It is a protest against what in essence, is wrong about modern day football. The elite are trying to get a hold of the lower divisions, they are trying to gain control over Grimsby Town.

Make no mistake, they are testing the water for the B team plan, they are trying to get people to accept an under 23 team, they will fail if we all pull together. Our own club has grabbed ££££ and completely ignored the will of the fans. It's down to us now.

Get to the protest game, support your supporters. UTM!

I would appeal to every single football fan (apart from the plastic prem fans) to support this match.
If we could get a higher attendance than BP it would surely make the national press.
My only concern is the admission fee. I'll be there with son, but it may put some folk off.
If those that would have attended BP if it was the normal format attend, it will be a complete success.
So make the effort. Our away support is acknowledged throughout this division. Let's get the home support some recognition too. UTIM 😄

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

We had a lot of debate about the costs for this, whether to keep it as pay what you want etc, but there are also going to be some costs that we need to cover at the same time. Our thoughts were that if we raise a big total for charity at the same time then it is likely to get even more attention - it also demonstrates that we arent just staying away from BP because of the cost, we are staying away on principal.

I hope that the money doesn't put people off too much because as you say we are aiming for a bigger crowd than that which is at Blundell Park, although of course understand that some wont want to pay. I can't claim that £5 is cheap for the standard of football on show....but I can promise that at the very least you will get a good laugh from it!

I couldn't tell you 100% Gaz,

There's no seating etc so it's standing room only around the edge of the pitch, but it should be more than enough for us to beat the BP attendance.
