Bristol Rovers have announced today that they have stopped plans to build a new 21,000 seater stadium.  (Source BBC News). Discussions to build it in partnership with a local university have broken down after 8 years in the planning.

Sainsbury's previously pulled out of a deal with the club and Rovers lost an expensive high court case to sue them.

The club are not going back to the drawing board, looking at all options. Including redeveloping their current (old) ground.

It is not just us then that have serious stadium problems.
