The problem with local radio stations is that they are biased towards the city in which they are based.

Lincs FM is very pro Linoln City and Humberside all things Hull.

He was a town fan. His son is still a die hard town fan and goes home and away. Burnsy fell out of love with the club when he fell out with Fenty.


There are loads of Town fans that do not like Fenty,

BUT

That does not stop them loving the club.

Nonsense....they bend over backwards to be fair. Matt Dean is a Grimsby lad and Dave Burns went to Clee Grammar (yes, I know he's had his arguments with John Fenty but it's completely untrue that they are biased towards Hull). If we had been in the Premier League last year we would have got the same coverage.

Burnsey is a great commentator and presenter, I would welcome him back with open arms if it's Grimsby he will be commentating on however he did say on the radio today he is looking for a Saturday job if there is one going, (do andersons on grant street still do welking 25p a bucket,) seriously do you think JF fell out with Burnsey, he has his way of reporting sometimes good sometimes near the knuckle, in my opinion I would work with people and court them appropriately to get results, looking back we was on a downward spiral and I thought he was pretty ruthless, just what you don't need when you are working even harder to get things right, all radio station and papers love failure it sells, Burnsey was quite ruthless last season with Hull and the Elams in my opinion they have quite clearly had enough, they was the saviour of the club when all said and done and they have had a fairy tale for the last 10 years as apposed to extinction , fortunately they do have Viking radio for the local people of Hull so they will still get the comentry in FM

Are the BBC not contractually obliged to provide coverage?

Wonder if they will start covering North Ferriby? Expect to see us on FM or digital airwaves more frequently as we seemed to get dumped on AM once Scunthorpe had a new mast installed!

Bit harsh on JT. I like JT, he is town through and through. Although you do have no nails left listening to him as we cling on for a 1-0 win.

Maybe they'll do what they do for Hull and have two commentators share the coverage?

You don't realise what you've got with Humberside until it's gone as we found out during the Compass FM season. They are the best at what they do in our local area and having listened to various other local radio station's coverage of their local clubs Humberside are probably one of the best nationally too. The awards prove it.

This must be a money thing...

Because for all the stick they get, they cover 3 local teams and do a very good job IMO.
