Number of possibilities for a new striker. Just wondering if any of these players are under consideration by RS ?

Alex revell-linked throughout the summer, played under RS before, seemingly down the pecking order at Northampton

Sylvan Ebanks Blake-decent scoring record at a higher level, albeit not in the last 2 years but could league two help him reignite his career. Available on a free

Craig mackail smith, available, always scored goals, but like Ebanks Blake dried up in the last 2 years

Eoin Doyle, played under RS, maybe out of our price range but did drop into league two last year at Pompey scoring just twice in 11 matches.

Kyle wotton, linked on a permanent a few weeks back, wonder if a season long loan may be possible? Scunny have an abundance of strikers, particularly if Ivan Toney rejoins (as expected)

Barry corr, available, very good record at this level over the years at this level. Injuries have been a big worry though, would RS take a gamble?

good list there mate. I'd be happy with any of those with the exception of Ebanks Blake. Still think Tyler Walker will probably join on loan but with Yussuf going I think we're likely to see 2 strikers join.

It's just a number of possibilities. Tyler walker not coming according to jack lester who was asked the other night. All strikers I've mentioned tick a lot of boxes.

Surely the majority of that list will be stupidly expensive?

Saying that, I'd like to think we'd spend some of the Bogle money on getting an outstanding striker in alongside a loanee.

Northampton signed a striker the other day, so maybe that pushes Revell further down the pecking order. Personally I'd love him here, a proper old school number 9 who knows where the back of the net is.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"
