Dixon was steady and defensively strong. Mustoe looked alright on the ball, but lost when defending

Eh? Mustoe did perfectly fine defensively. Blackburn weren't really playing with attacking wide men so we didn't perhaps see him put under enough pressure in that respect, but I don't see what there was to criticise from the defensive side of his performance.

This Belgian chap ought to have a better pedigree as he's been in the international squads for various age groups, or so you might think, so perhaps he'll do well for himself tonight.

He may have liked his ale but Gally was a good solid left back at a much higher level too.

I'd have the Gally of 15 years ago back in a shot.

So what's the crack then with these left backs, is Dixon  signing? Is somebody else signing and he is giving people trials to decide who will be the back up option? Because I'd like to see 2 left backs sign, we can't just have one

Only 8 days before the first league game and as it stands our defence looks threadbare, midfield looks weak but over stocked (pre injury) and wingers and strikers might need another body to cover all angles.

Not for me on first impressions..might be harsh on him cos i dont know if he speaks English or how long he has been with town, may have just met the team at winterton.  But every time he went to control it, it bounced off him for a throw. He did look to pass along the floor when he had time though.  My opinion is he was the worst of the left back trialists ive seen, so I expect him to sign later today and be a massive success
