I wonder if we've made a stupid video to announce it or we're just sticking with the usual "bloke holding a shirt" pic?

Happy with that. Has proved himself in matches, and training too obviously. Lives local and has a good pedigree at youth level.

Showed a few good touches on Saturday so potentially a very good signing for us. I'd imagine Wilkinson and Vernon will be able to help him develop his game as well.

They must believe he's gonna make the grade for a 2 year deal.  1 year plus a 1 year option is what clubs like us like IMO just in case he dosn't cut it.
Pleased he's signed up as we have been getting good reports about him.

Must have something about him for Reading to spend £75k on him.

The internet suggests he has never scored a goal in a proper match at senior level. Is this right?

Good signing. He has good movement, reasonably strong and a good finisher. If we signed Robinson as well I'd be pleased. We'd have added some strength and pace going forward as well as a bit of trickery which would compliment our other players like Jones and Osborne nicely.

Looking forward to a brighter future now Fenty has gone.

Just watched the Barnsley highlights. Great movement and flick on for the second goal from Cardwell!

Any news of his squad number yet?

If he's not got the number 9 then it'd suggest we're still after another striker.

I don't imagine he'd be given the No. 9 shirt considering he's never scored a competitive goal! Hopefully it won't be long before he changes that particular stat.

Very pleased for HC-thought he looked a 'physical' threat on Saturday, despited his brief appearance. Great movement to meet the corner, a sweet downward header to panic the defence and an easy pop-up for Robinson to finish off. (The latter also looks a good contract candidate for me btw).
Overall, the team seems to be shaping up pretty well imo, with lots of young(ish) players in the engine room and up front (Vernon apart), and age and experience at the back where it's most needed. With the likes of Dembele, Osborne and Kelly to fashion the gaps and create the chances and Cardwell, Jones, Yussuf and Asante (hopefully) to finish them off, with the D-O-K axis also chipping-in, things look much brighter this year than last at this time. We also have Clifton, Rose A, and perhaps Wright lurking on the fringes. Looking forward to a better season this time around.

How many games has he played at senior level though. I'd doubt it's a double figure total.

Edit. Just looked. According to Soccerbase 6 full appearance and 3 as sub all at Conference level for Braintree and Woking. He's never played a senior league game.
