Forrest Gump is a great film and would definitely be towards the top of my list. Others include, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, The Prestige and Jurassic Park (which is a bit of a guilty pleasure). And of course, the Star Wars films.

One of those dark films that used to be on late at night on a Friday or Saturday night when you got home from the pub. Some great acting in that from all 12 men.

Too many to mention but just watched "Life of Pi" again on Freeview.

What can you say, brilliant effects that draw you in.

Agreed. I watched this recently with my kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, although I think me more so than them.

Just watched Once Upon a Time in America yet again following the death of Ennio Morricone, the theme he wrote for the film is the most haunting piece of music and de Niro is absolutely immense. I never tire of it, the recreation of Brooklyn street scenes in the early part of the century when the gang are all teenage boys is amazing
