I remember the game that Drinkell scored his 100th goal in.

We beat Man City 4-1 at BP, and he lifted his shirt to reveal a specially made t-shirt for the occasion.

His final 2 goals came on the last day of that season at Crystal Palace when we won 2-0, the day of the Bradford Fire.

Was there at Selhurst that day. Got a lift of a Palace supporting mate - his little brother was mad and was all for abandoning me. Was a good day. Then we switched the radio on.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
