Ok I'm a tad bored of reading about Lincoln at the moment so... top 3 greatest Grimsby Town moments. Only rule you must of witnessed it live.

1. 15-16 Promotion an easy one for me as it probably is for a few.

2. Sir John McDerrmott scoring a magnificent curling effort into the  top corner.

3. A little more difficult its either Kalala scoring that volley against Tottenham or Whittle giving Shearer a fat lip and scar the following maych in the cup.... Whittles magnificent elbow it is I think

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

1. Wembley 16 (specifically Nathan's goal)

2. The win at Braintree the previous week, purley because it was so unexpected.

3. The 2-1 win at Scunny in the cup, what a night!

Greatest moments for me (games I've been at) have to be:

1) AWS win at Wembley v Bournemouth

2) Play-off win against Northampton

3) Play off win v FGR

Went to all three of those and fantastic days, the boro fans were certainly not happy that day, likewise at everton we stopped at a pub on the outskirts of Liverpool and that's a memory, got home at 3am and had the following day off work!

3) First Wembley victory vs Bournemouth. Being 8 years old at the time I thought Wembley wins would happen on a regular basis. How wrong could I be with our record?

2) Beating Tottenham. I'd been saying we'd win it 1-0 all day at school but being 15 at the time I couldn't put the bet on. The majority of that season was pretty good too. Hope Slade makes amends this time.

1) Wembley win vs FGR. I've seen us play dozens of bigger clubs but that win meant more than any of them. Never heard a noise like it when Bogle's second went in and it's the first time I've ever cried at a match when I'd said all along it's for fannies.

1. 2016 Wembley win. For me I chose this because it's just the feeling I had when we went 2-0 up and then when Arnold scored THAT goal.

2. JEVONS v Liverpool. What a goal and what a night.

3. Can't remember the opponents, but the day of rich broadly funeral. All his friends and family together in the pontoon, Grimsby fans, Lincoln fans, Premier fans etc all stood together in his memory singing songs about him all game. The club where fantastic that day, Grimsby also won which was an added bonus.

> Final game v Exeter in 71/72 and great goal from Chatterley & being crushed in the Ponny

> Coventry away in FA Cup 1973 when every bus, car & train seemed to be heading there with trip from Rasen taking 5 hours!!, what a following that was.

One of my all time favourite games that. We were dead on our feet when they equalised with less than 10 minutes to go and there was only going to be one winner if the game went to extra time, then Jobling latched onto that dodgy backpass and rounded the keeper and the Town fans were celebrating before the ball was in the net. Incredible atmosphere that night. I couldn't believe the amount of fans we had there and the array of different inflatables was a sight to behold just before Harry took over the monopoly.

I seem to recall that all of the above games were on TV. My brother had copies on Betamax, but they sadly disappeared along with Betamax technology. I'd love to see those games again. has anyone still got copies? Be great to digitise them and get them on You Tube.

So many great memories, cup wins, promotions, great goals. But if I had to pick the very best I'd go with.....

v Exeter 1972 winning Div 4.
v Sheff United 1980 winning Div 3
Burnett's Golden goal, Wembley 1998
Arnolds goal at Wembley 2016.

The last two are definitely the two greatest single moments, the first two the greatest games.

1 - Town walking out at the old Wembley for the first time in 98, just a few tears.

2 - Last game of the season 79/80 Drinkall hat trick blunting the blades and winning the old 3rd Division

3 - Jevo's goal at Liverpool

Have to say 3 and a bit was being on the pitch with the players after the Braintree A PO semi.

UTM!

Not really how I remember that game. I thought we gave a decent account of ourselves that night. If you want to know a game we won when we were absolutely battered for 89 minutes then Everton away in '84 will take some beating.

Totally agree Les. Definitely with Town, and even any other clubs, I have never seen such a mugging. But was nice to be the muggers for once.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
