Or did I dream I read that ?? The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

A friend of the family was in the same year as Tony Ford but at a rival school and apparently, Ford rocked up at a GY schools athletics meet in the 70s and ran the 400m in plimsols, beating all the other lads in their spikes by a country mile.

I'm sure according to Macca in his book he was pretty rapid in his earlier days but if Livvo was his benchmark that might not be saying much!
