The only thing I like that Corbyn has said, is that he wants the railways back in the hands of the government, which will never happen because of the costs involved.

Corbyn is stuck in the 1950s as a student union member and doesn't see that the world has moved on mass nationalisation, extortionate taxes and anti-capitalism, anti-wealth creation ideology.
Corbyn seems intent on destroying people who are determined to better themselves and make more money by starting their own business as he wants to increase corporation tax so markedly that all big business would go "see ya" within the week and nobody would start smaller companies because they think what's the point?
As I see it the problem with the socialist movement is that is what it says, it's a movement, not designed to gain power and introduce what they perceive as a more equal society. The more moderate and liberal governments don't feel threatened by it because the self-selected sample of extremists who are members don't view election success as important. Only 24% of Labour members think Tony Blair was successful, he won three elections and is the only Labour leader to win an election since 1974. That is a dangerous position for Britain to be in as the Tories don't feel like they are a bad move away from disaster, in previous years that social care shenanigans would have been catastrophic but since Corbyn finds it impossible to challenge May directly he can't seize the moment and claw back a good number of votes but he didn't.

I do find it amazing how much of a influence the Tory funded newspapers have on the election. I don't have a problem with Murdoch and his chums in not wanting to pay much tax but I can't understand why people can't see the clear Tory bias so that they won't get taxed as much with a Tory govermeant.

This above is a list of numbers that add up but make no account of what happens in the real world. It is a proven fact that the Corporation Tax take increases as the rate goes down, so the £19.4bn extra tax take will never happen, so there's a black hole there for a start, never mind not adding in the omitted extra cost of nationalisations which could cost us the taxpayer up to £300bn. A lot of the other tax grabs in there on the city and big business could put our country and our jobs at severe risk especially during and after Brexit. It's a global world and companies will just up and leave to a better economic climate or shed jobs. Going back to the OP re train tickets. I find it laughable that Corbyn has been going round offering anything he possibly can like he's got a blank cheque book for everything. At a time when we could have done with all the main parties coming together to get the best Brexit deal for the whole country, the Labour party has shifted back to its true roots, laudable ideals which bear no reflection in being made into a costed reality. So Corbyn's train ticket proposal will never come fruition, but if it did I don't think we'd be worrying about whether we can save a few quid exchanging train tickets. On a forum where reckless free spending football club owners are roundly condemned and criticised, I find it hard to see the same people not seeing beyond lifelong tribal affinities and see the above manifesto for what it is, uncosted and reckless policies to shore up a core vote, dog whistle politics at it's very worst and in the end however the election ends up, it is us the taxpayer who will suffer the most, with an unchecked Tory party or out of pocket with a tax crazy Labour government.

If corbyn wins all the rich people will move their businesses and wealth abroad. As for Blair, the nation will only remember him as a warmonger and a thief.

People still blaming the Labour Party for the global economic meltdown, it was Labour who saved the economy, if they didn't bail out the banks I'm sure we'd have been in a worst position. One day Brown will be credited with the success of his actions. Our problems were caused by the greed of the US and UK banks.

You only need to have spent any time in A and E over the past couple of years or rang an ambulance for someone to know that the Tories have made the country far worse. How anyone in our area can vote Tory is beyond me. The labour manifesto gives people a clear choice and looks to address social inequality.
