Both of their managers have resigned tonight,

Monk could not agree new terms and Silva was always leaving after Hull got relegated.

And Sam Allardyce has left Crystal Palace with both Monk and Silva in the frame to take over.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Monk was getting offered a 3 year deal but resigned prior to his meeting with the new owner. Leeds have a fantastic fan base, potential and facilities, but a toxic ownership. Even Steve Evans backed Monk's decision. Expect Monk to get the Middlesbrough job.

Silva had a relegation release clause in his contract. As he's been offered the Porto job, who can be surprised at his decision to take Champions League over the Championship.

Both Monk and Silva are on the up. I expect to see them both in "big" jobs within the next 5 years.

Allardyce's decision is a strange one. 5 months into a new job, he "retires"? Probably more to come out about this.

Take a second to feel a bit sorry for Norwich fans though - the songs/chants they are going to get with their new Manager.

Allardyce's wife had stayed in Bolton, reportedly, while he was sitting in a hotel down in London. I'd imagine most of his family (children, grandkids, etc) also lives somewhere in the north.

Bear in mind he reportedly received a £2 million bonus for keeping Palace up (plus some sort of a payoff from England, I'd guess) so I think it isn't such a bad idea on his behalf.

If he gets a red card it must surely be a headline writers dream

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
