There's quite a few Channel Four programmes in this.

Grand Designs project. Main Stand. Flood light(s). Come on Mr Fenty, time you built yourself a new concept house and appeared on the telly!

The Fishy's resident woodsmith Ginny can do up the police box on George Clarke's Amairzing Spairces.

And Time Team can come and dig up the mound in the Pontoon end penalty box.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

This thread has just reminded me of around 30 years ago, my stepdad came across around 100 wooden and numbered seats from the old directors box I believe.
He had cast iron frames made for them and sold them on to Town fans.
Wonder if anyone  on here has one of these?

That suggests a certain skill level. Been called a woodbutcher plenty of times.

Only said that cos I couldn't remember if you were a joiner or a carpenter (people can get offended if you get the wrong one!). I thought 'woodworker' would have made you sound a bit 'special'.

I was apprenticed in both carpentry and joinery. Wanted to be a cabinetmaker but there wasn't a lot of job opportunities in 70's Grimsby for one of those.
