I'm devastated

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Much as I like to take the urine out of our funny speaking neighbours, I'm not happy about this. Not sad. Just......

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

A relegation for Hull and a promotion for Town next season I reckon.

I wouldn't say no to that mind. Crossing swords with them in the league is a rare treat and would provide an awesome away day.

Since I can't remember us playing Ull since I was about eight, I've not really seen them as intense rivals, so I'm not that fussed, but it would be good to meet them in the Championship in a few years so anything that stops them getting established in the Premier League has to be a good thing in that respect.

On the basis of their performance today you might be meeting them n League 1 soon.

Yes I think it is possible they could find themselves in another relegation fight, unless they get their act together off the field. I feel sure their better players will leave and their manager might be in demand.

Hope we have a pre season agains them at their place.
Good day out 👍🏼😁

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Can't remember what year it was but I think we drew 1-1 at Boothferry Park, us Town fans were stood in the ramshackled stand with the railway station at the back.
Seem to remember we took a large following and Batchy pulling off a fantastic save.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Great days out they were. Train to New Holland, walk down the pier, then pack onto the ferry before getting another train straight to Boothferry Park. No inflatables, Scarves and rattles in those days.
