Oliver, 25, still has a year left to run on his contract at Bootham Crescent, but asked for a transfer after the Minstermen were relegated to National League North at the end of last season. I really wanted us to sign him. He'll score loads for them. I noticed today that Shaun Tuton has signed for Motherwell and actually scored a goal today in a pre season friendly against some other jock team that I can't recall. Can remember watching Tuton on his debut for us (Notts County?) And he ran their defence ragged! Thought we had a hell of a player on our hands - unfortunately he never turned up again! Why? He put in some good performances for us last season. He seemed to be the only one who knew how to, positionally, play the holding midfielder role at times. He was used in several different roles by us though, so he also had versatility. I thought he was a decent young player and he could still develop further.
