North Korea

Kim Jong is very young and has power thrust upon him.  It is hard for him to cope with the intense pressures and expectations.  He has to maintain the macho threats to keep himself in power and the country together.

I think that both Kim and Trump are not quite as bonkers as they seem (particularly Kim, who is paranoid, completely ruthless and portrays himself as bonkers).  

Judge them on actions rather than words (threats and promises).  There is a lot of activity and macho postering.  Kim should be smart enough to realise that in a duel North Korea would come second to the USA. China would dis-own them.

The widely different stances are similar to the Cuban Missile Crisis of the early 60s. That thankfully did not escalate to a disaster - just in the nick of time.

War will be inevitable though if north korea keeps developing its nuclear arsenal, which it will. Therefore, I think america will take more action before they have weapons capable of hitting the us, which the experts say is likely to be around 4 years.
