I think it's a terrible situation that they're facing and it must be heartbreaking for the fans to see their club being destroyed and killed slowly by Francesco Bacchetti and the lack of support from the EFL and FA. So much for the ft and proper person test prospective new owners are supposed to pass - it clearly doesn't work. I doubt the FA would've let this happen to a Premier League club. They should've stepped in months ago really...

I've been speaking to a Leyton Orient fan on twitter recently and have found out a lot more about what has been happening - it really is awful.

The Leyton Orient fans trust is raising money for a survival fund to he used to support their club either A) after Bacchetti leaves and they (hopefully) get control of the club or B) in the even that a Phoenix club is set up.

They've done a few bucket collections at other clubs games and I was wondering if there is anything that could be done to support them, perhaps by allowing a few people from their supporters trust to do a bucket collection at our final game against Plymouth or our trust doing a collection on there behalf and sending them the money.

Was just a thought.

Regardless of rivalries on the pitch, off the pitch all clubs and fans are the same and is hope that no real football fan would want to see a club like Leyton Orient go under.

Here's the contact details of their fans trust if anybody wanted to talk to them.

I see Barry Hearn has quit as Leyton Orient's honanary life president in protest at the club's failure to meet last month's payroll.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Would the trust be able to organise anything at all or would it not be possible?

Completely understand of not but it was always worth asking!

Their game was abandoned late on when their fans invaded the pitch and did a sit down protest against the owner. Looks like they will likely start their National League campaign next season with a points deduction.

So much for the fit and proper rule. That idiot has totally ruined an old and proud football club.

Can't remember who it was that they where trying to buy but the new owners at Reading failed the Premier League F&P test so then moved on and passed the one for an EFL club, like many football administrators in this country the EFL is a joke.

Match now restarted behind closed doors after the fans were lied to and went home. That twit Boyeson is the ref so doesn't surprise me at all.

Can't see them being allowed in the conference. I expect York to be saved because of this.

Conference South or a Phoenix club in the local dog and duck league would be my prediction.
