Nathan Thomas at Hartlepool Kyle Bennett at Portsmouth John Marquis at Donny Rueben Reid at Exeter Charlie Wheeler at Exeter Jobi McAnuff at Stevenage (he's played in the Prem, so should be good) Charlie Wyke at Carlisle Plus Dean Henderson and Omar Bogle All those players looked better than this league. I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause

Overall i have been pretty disappointed regards the standard, yes players are definately more technically gifted and competent footballers but no real stand outs for me. Most seasons in the conference there were a couple at least of real stand out performers, Akinde, Marsh Brown, Jolley, Vose, Marwood, Norwood, Gray all names that stick with me now as they seemed to be a level above. He took at least 1 goal very well and looked a threat throughput.  He was playing in a good team however, 3 goals is 3 goals.

Did his darndest to get our players booked from the very start of the game. Wyke for Carlisle looked very good at BP as I recall. Obviously too good for this division and he's doing pretty well since his move to Bratfud.

Cocktail Drinker Posts: 1,728 Posts Per Day: 0.33 Reputation: 87.61% Rep Score: +27 / -3 Location: the wrong side of the bridge Approval: +525	I haven't been to many home games this year, mainly work commitments but from the games I have seen, the latest one at home to Cambridge, I was very impressed by their no 16, he was the ginger lad who played the holding midfield role just in front of the back four. The view from the upper findus showed just how good he was. He protected the back four, was always there for the easy ball or at a breakdown for the second ball and could pass a ball and turn defence into attack. In short the kind of player we are crying out for, nothing against gunning but this guy was a class apart in the same position.  Be interesting to see if anyone else thought the same. sign him up slade !!!!!!! Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD

It was the single most entertaining period at a football match I have ever witness, one spectacular goal, the chants of "off, off, off" followed by "Hooray!" then the penalty and a Mansfield player getting sent off that nobody knew about.
