Dean Henderson, stood out like a sore thumb. Way too good for this level.

Could you dial down the praise for Hendo a bit please Jim?

There's a summer transfer window coming up..

John Marquis score a hat-trick here and was voted Div 2 player of the season.

He took at least 1 goal very well and looked a threat throughput.  He was playing in a good team however, 3 goals is 3 goals.

Marquis didn't half dive around whenever he was touched, though. Did his darndest to get our players booked from the very start of the game.

Wyke for Carlisle looked very good at BP as I recall. Obviously too good for this division and he's doing pretty well since his move to Bratfud.

I haven't been to many home games this year, mainly work commitments but from the games I have seen, the latest one at home to Cambridge, I was very impressed by their no 16, he was the ginger lad who played the holding midfield role just in front of the back four. The view from the upper findus showed just how good he was. He protected the back four, was always there for the easy ball or at a breakdown for the second ball and could pass a ball and turn defence into attack. In short the kind of player we are crying out for, nothing against gunning but this guy was a class apart in the same position.  Be interesting to see if anyone else thought the same.

sign him up slade !!!!!!!

That bloke up front for Donny who got the HT

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

He made some kind of impression on you - he only came on as a 76th minute sub!

Best individual performance at BP was Omar against Stevenage, best Town player Henderson, most consistent Town player Danny Andrew, best non-Town player John Marquis, all of whom I don't expect (but hope) to see next season.

Yeah, Christian Burgess for me too.

Dominant, commanding but very calm too.

That said, he didn't strike me as that much better than Pearson or Collins.

I think he was a more composed and athletic defender than Pearson. That said Pompey should have better players than us, their budget must be 3 or 4 times the size od ours.

I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause
