EXTREME Leisure has now been given the go-ahead to apply for planning  permission for the new stadium.

Anyone else think that this company is a risk?

They don't seem to of ever built anything this big let alone a football stadium.  They seem to organize and do plenty of marketing for events...

The front cover of their website looks a little far fetched with the front design being a skate park with a swimming pool one side and a tennis court the other...  Really?

They seem to concentrate on supporting Skiers, Skaters and BMW riders. Do they know anything about football?

I just hope someone knows what they are doing...

I notice all their ambassadors are BMX, Ski, Surf, Motor X or Skaters?
They do not appear to have any experience of Football but it's perhaps a market they are looking to move in to?

They are not going to build the Stadium themselves,

They will contract out the work to  an experienced Building firm ,

Stop worrying.

Everybody has to start somewhere, I suppose. Even if they've only previously worked on smaller projects, if they are competent and know what they are doing, there is no reason they can't succeed with this project as well.

You could perhaps see us as a test case for their business - if they can make a success of this development in a small, impoverished northern town, it would look very good on their company CV and would attract bigger clients. I wouldn't imagine there are exactly many quick bucks to be made in N.E. Lincolnshire so hopefully they are in it for the long haul and with a good plan.

I would like to know more about Phoenix Taylor. I hope she and the other Angels are involved. Perhaps she could work one of the bars.

Sime I have waited since 1988 when it was very first mooted about moving for a new stadium we have never been this close I can almost see it.The blueprint on how to build them is fairly simple stuff these days and I can`t see why Extreme would have any difficulty in getting the right people in.The most difficult task will be to bring the job in on budget and on time Extreme need to manage that. This is a great opportunity for them and they appear to be a modern company with a can do attitude to things if they get this right the World becomes their Oyster so to speak for stadium builds. In essence they did what no-one else could deliver in 30 years a new build stadium in Grimsby.
