The Gunning incident has deflected away the fact that despite a good first half, we had a very poor second half.
I'm guessing the two half time talks were totally different.
They came out with renewed vigour and we didn't. Yup the ref was utter dog toffee, but apart from a mix up by them at the back which should have gifted us a goal, we didn't replicate the first half at all.
If  Vose is not a starter for the next match there is something seriously wrong.
People have said to judge MB next season. That's pretty much the next time I'll be watching Town at home. (Donny apart as I have guests coming for that one). It's not a Toys out the pram, it's justifying £40 to watch an experimental, lopsided team with nothing to play for.  I can do that at Cheapside for free.  I said earlier that MB is yet to impress me on the pitch and that still remains. I'm not calling for his head. Let's see how we are doing next Sept and make judgement.
Should be at Blackpool and Barnet though, but that's for the away day experience.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

again v happy not to be your teammate.

Reciprocated

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

"excrement under Marcus" to right mate.
Safe this season but god help us next season under this bloke.

Totally agree with the reaction of the players. They saw their team mate in obvious distress and were concerned for his wellbeing, so playing to the whistle is all well and good but they did what i would have done in the same situation. Once the ball was whacked in the net, then the ref had no recourse to strike it off. Maybe their players should have stopped too but anyhoo, it went in and we lost a game we should have at least drawn.

This!

Well that first 20 minutes was as good as we've been as a team at home all season so I'm wondering how you justify that.

Before you mention Stevenage, that game was an Omar virtuoso and had very little to do with teamwork.

A game of 3 bstrds- the bstrd who got Gunning-- the fat bstrd who was fouling everybody, and the one in the yellow shirt who was a useless bstrd .

Not counting McKeown they were all fat yellow fouling useless bstrds

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”
