Broadcast doesn't start until kick off does it? RH will be on if you want to listen to pre match.

Why on earth would you have gunning in midfield  when you have osborne available so that makes no sense.

Don't think that pitch is up to any decent football so not surprised Osborne on the bench.

Osborne possibly due a rest? Had missed out a few games prior to joining us and has stepped up to full time and played every game since...perhaps today has come a bit soon for him.

Or perhaps MB thinks the team he's picked is more suitable to play against Newport. I have no idea how they play, but y'know, I'm sure MB does and has picked his side accordingly.

What I will say is I do think we've got a really good squad now, on paper at least. To make this many changes and to be able to put those players on is pretty impressive. Nice looking bench too.

Still, let's see how it goes eh!

Come on Town, restore a bit of pride tonight after Saturdays debacle.

A draw wouldn't be too bad, 3 points would be great....UTM

WTF !!!! Dropping Ben Davies, you need all his experience on a night like tonight, one bad game and he gets dropped, its obvious MB has got it in for him as he isnt one of his own , big mistake, Mills will get murdered down that side, its obvious..can see us shipping more than 5 tonight ..

I'm sure I just heard the radio commentator say Town were going for a 4-1-3-2 formation.

Gunning in front of the back four I'd imagine if that was the case. Would be a rather strange midfield, however. Possibly a bit lop-sided with Andrew pushing up more on the left using his pace and Mills sitting a little deeper with Bolarinwa playing more as a right winger?

interestingly they play 5 at the back, similar formation to how we have been playing. Playing tombola tells me he thinks he can exploit it the same way we have been exploited at times.

Maybe Osborne is knackered, having just stepped up in level.may just have a slight knock, or Bignot just wants a bit of experience, something we have been missin?

Sounds like we are doing o.k., apologies to those that have travelled all that way but I would be happy with a 0 - 0 to be honest, especially before a tough game on Saturday.

Should have played without Comley from the word go-this is a much better formation taking pressure off the back four- size does matter in this league

I wouldnt call it diabolical, the lads are playing well and fighting for every ball. Dont like knocking refs but this guy is a homa. Weve had the better chances and in the last 15 mins have taken control.Everyone putting a shift. Can see us taking all 3 points if we keep the pressure on.  UTM..

I used to hate the Iliad. Moaned at school when the teacher told us to read it. He accused me of being Homerphobic.

Me mate says an awful game and both sides look so poor.

Dyson looks well below what's required and dizza best player on the pitch but that ain't looking to hard.

Town's game now the only game in league 2 without a goal.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

0 - 0 difficult away trip for lots of reasons plus some game time for different players to give Marcus some selection options come Saturday. I would have took that before the game

Well done & safe home to the 199 who travelled!

Take a point to make Saturday look like an anomaly but we need more on at the weekend if we want to make anything of the season - although I do think any hopes of anything better than tenth have vanished.

Newport have the worst home record in the league and are bottom of the league I might be on my own here but is it really a "great" point some are making out ?

Strange.

Decent result after Sat.
Would have liked a win but nevermind let's move on to Saturday when we give that fat twit a good hiding UTM

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Pretty much not the same team after the transfer window, they are now six games undefeated.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

It sounds like MB set us up to deal with the style of the opposition and not to get beat on an away trip, that kind of thing makes me smile.

Jonny you may want to take into account both the shocking condition of the pitch(same for both sides but they are used to it), their recent improvement in form since signing god knows how many new players in January and the increased confidence that gives them. Think Ferguson commented after Donny's visit on Saturday what a difficult place this was to visit and winning there would be very difficult.

Point after a drubbing last Saturday will do for me.

This wasn't a great point, it was a desperate salvage of a point against a desperate team.  We will see how far we have come against Mansfield.   People  need to wake up,  MB is clueless and we will go from one crap performance to another under him...........

In two minds......shows awareness of the particular factors effecting tonights game and tactical shuffling to adapt/ counter them which is good....however it was still Newport, the worst team in the League so disappointing MB said "we would have got steamrollered if we had come and tried to play football".....
big game Saturday now with Mansfield being at the bottom of the play off pack.....

Best player for me was Mills. Pearson and Collins solid, Sam Jones had one very good driving run and Tombola did a few good bits and pieces, but that was about it.

Pitch awful, officials awful and the match totally devoid of quality.  The Pipe shouts were funny though almost had me in tears.

It's stopped the rot after the past couple of dire away results and that is what is most important.

One of my mates lives down in the south west and his message mentioned that it was a match almost totally devoid of quality or incident.Still, it's an extra point on the board which is what counts as we're obviously a team that needs to make sure we get safe before even thinking about a potential push for the play-offs. Hopefully, a few home wins will settle things down long before the end of the season.
