During last season I felt there was a genuine bond between the players and the fans. Macca, Tait, Shaun, Josh (even) Toto, Nath, Diz, Podge, Omar JPP etc.
Always going to be difficult to match that given the turnover in the summer, but now we have seen another 3 today to go with Gunning, Yussef etc.
Maybe it is just me but I am not feeling a bond (yet).
Hopefully this will change but for the time being this doesn't seem to me a Grimsby Town team.

I would question the 'bond' bit - they are footballers who go to work to earn a living. When the chance came to leave, Tait, Toto and Podge didn't exactly feel much of a bond.
As for new players, it's pretty clear that MB doesn't rate too many of PH's new breed so wants to put his own stamp on things.

Your right it is just you......
'Listen' (Bignot soundbite). You want success you need better players and if that means bringing 5 in during a transfer window who are better than what we have then I'm all for that.
As far as building a bond it may take a little time especially as Hurst despersed with all of last seasons players bar Macca, Gowling, Bogle and Dis etc. but what I will say is that Bignot is trying to build a future here and with the majority of 'his' players signing on 18 month - 2 and half year deals, we can get that bond back as well as quicker success.
Although Hurst had a bond with the players and supporters in the conference it still took us 6 years to get back in the football league but I'm certain with the squad we are building now we can be plying our trade in league one next season

M.B. as seen the squad he as got and correctly addressed problem areas he knows the players he as signed can improve on what we have now.
Hey lets see what happens at least he has been very proactive.

Hopefully these players improve us. I would like to see the players move to the area though.

The new players have only just signed, How on earth are they going to have a bond with the other players already. Give a a few weeks or so, so they can get to know each other at least,

There is a few living in the Birmingham area so they will bond on their daily commute, I am one of those that prefare they all move local though, If they prove themselves they will get longer contracts so hopefully will then move to Peakes Parkway, They are building some houses there soon when the talking has finished .
