I think it's definitely about the package.  

I think we have to sell before the end of the season to ensure we get the best deal with his contract running out.

1.5 would sound good if the sell ons are as good as the Bennett sell ons appear to be.  Having said that and having seen the silly money mentioned above you would ask why we aren't getting 3 million for him if we didn't!

He still has anther year left on his current deal if memory serves me right.
