Yes fair point Herts. Concerns are more centred around having to adjust to both at the same time. Felt that Scott and Hurst took a bit too long to adjust to full-time given the resources they had. Happy it's not some chancer on the way down though.

Agree, young & hungry is what we need now.

No I don't think 3 months is particularly generous when u actually think it through. He'll need 3-4 games minimum to assess the squad and then we'll start to see what style/formation he's going to favour. Get to january n we'll see what - if any - additional players he might try to bring in(and who he ships out!) end of january seems about right to me...but what do i know, i only went to my first game in 1962

Personally, I think this is a good appointment (if true).  However, I really do not get the negativity.  Even if it was a manager I didn't rate, I still be 100% behind him.  How on earth do you expect them to feel if some 'fans' won't even give them a chance?

If true, I think this will prove to be an inspirational appointment but I don't expect an immediate winning streak. He will need time to find the combinations of players best suited to a more forceful attacking style (I hope!). I think we all want to see some entertaining football home and away again.

I think I will be positive to this appointment if it is true. As many here have said - every appointment is a gamble.
Does anyone know how to pronounce his name? Is it Big-not or more like the French bigno` ?

Bignots ...once he comes here

Nice to see lots of positivity about this appointment. Let's just hope the negative moaners behind the dugout don't crush his early optimism when he loses his first home game! We have to back this guy and give him time to adapt to league management.

That could be Sheff Utd in the dead rubber cup so thats a freebie

Well I'm happy Bignot has been offered the job.  I like the idea of new up and coming managers who have already had some success. I was happy when Scott and Hurst was appointed.

I wonder who he would/will appoint as assistant manager....

I read Bignot was pretty hands on when it came to the youth academy at Solihull Moors, setting up a youth and junior department that stretches across 30 different teams! Maybe we will see some talent coming from Solihull Moors who have great potential

Don't want to come across as negative but slightly concerned if this is the case. Not only would he need to adjust to Football League, he'd need to adjust to working in a full-time environment. Would be a sensible appointment had we still been in the Conference. Time will tell, but if we get this appointment wrong we could soon find ourselves in trouble.

McKeown, Pearson, Hearn, Bogle and more recently Mills have all adjusted quite well to the step-up from part-time.    With the exception of Hearn, who would have established himself as a good League Two/One striker were it not for injuries, all are doing OK in League Two.

If you're good enough, you're good enough.   You adapt to necessary adjustments, the very best will excel under such circumstance.

This is going to look great if he turns us down to stay at Solihull.
