After the Hartlepool game our next 4 matches (albeit 3 away) are all against teams currently in the bottom 5 of the table. A great chance for us to put some points on the board if we're going to be serious challengers at the top end of the table this season.

The table at the end of next month could make very interesting reading.

I was optimistic in any case before a ball was kicked and even more so having seen the strength of the opposition so far.Yes some teams have been better than us so far but we look a real threat going forward most games and now with back to back clean sheets we also appear hard to beat.The Play Offs definitely don't look beyond our capabilities.UTM

Collins contribution . First team balance after ten games is decent . I see play offs after first five games , main reason I think , I want to see us pushing is becuase these loan players go back, PH has gone for it , his bitten the bullet , did what needed to be done and now his been rewarded. Fortune favours the brave. His been Brave,Bold and Calm. Current momentum/wave . I would take 1-0 this Saturday scored by a penalty. If they showed same desires , commitment and workmen like attitudes the team have been showing.

We can beat anyone in this League - that doesn't mean that they will lay down and let us !

Every victory must be earned, and hopefully we can then progress and consolidate our place in this division, and anything else towards the season end must be a bonus !!

A tighter defense is essential to assist Macca's confidence, so power to Danny Collins for his league experience in the last few games.

I just hope we don't revert to the last 20 minutes system of "come at us if you can" method of defending.

My blood pressure tablets are free at my age, but reliability on greater numbers is not good for my health !!

Good to see the excellent Reserves win today - keeps the squad fit and makes Hurst and Doig keep their minds on who is on form, albeit against lower level opponents.

I couldn't believe time could pass so slowly at Mansfield last Saturday

Every minute or two played felt like about 10 so when the final whistle eventually came, my initial over-riding feeling was one of relief, before the joy of the victory kicked in on the way home
