He has a bad injury and will be out for 6 months,

So he will not be playing against us on the 1st October.

Best wishes to him do not like to see any player have a bad injury.

Sorry Livernose did not see you had already put the news on the other thread,

BUT

I will leave this one on because we have not had a Magnay thread on for ages,

We used to have one  every other day at one time.

I wonder who'll get the worst reception, Toto in my opinion. I still haven't forgive Podge, he stuck two fingers up at us basically.

Gutted for him. I was annoyed when he chose to sign for a smaller club after all his badge kissing. But he seems a top bloke, he came to support us at Wembley and had a beer with us to celebrate promotion. This is his second ACL injury, I wish him well in his recovery.

They are all heroes to me! They got us promoted FFS. No hard feelings if they want to move on. How many of us would turn down what we regard as a better job offer.

i personally think booing will only encourage them to try harder...a polite round of applause from me.

Let's have a bit of class with all the lads who helped us in our quest for promotion . Fair enough booing some who put minimal effort in when we got relegated from league 2. But all whom  we've had since , in the majority have given their all for the cause . We moved on and so did they. UTM Fox

No booing from me - no clapping either. Toto didn't get on with some of our fans (rightly or wrongly) and Podge was economical with the truth (poppycock) when he left.

Another ACL injury could be the end for him. Hope it's not the same knee as his previous - he had a very complicated Injury before. 6-9 months recovery is the norm so may not feature in either game against us this season. Hope he rehabilitates. It's a horrible, painful, thing to deal with and must be so much worse if it puts your livelihood on the line as well as your health/mobility. My ACL finished my football and has affected me physically quite markedly in these past 6 years.

Agree total respect for all the players from last year, wasn't keen on Toto's comments about fans when he left but I'm aware he had plenty of stick when he was here.

Anyway a bit of stick in Toto's direction wouldn't be a bad thing IMO, we know he can be pretty frail mentally so it could end up giving us the upper hand if he got a bit of stick, wouldn't make is disrespectful IMO more 'streetwise'

disagree, i think as i said earlier that abuse/ stick will focus him.........would be much more effective to do a slow build up Whoooooaaaaawwwww when the ball goes anywhere near him and give it the ironic cheers if he does something right...or laugh if he cocks it up.

Shame that as I don't like to see any player out for that long...........He's also escaped the "feedback" he would have got from the BP faithful, "every cloud" and all that!

Shame for Magnay. Like the Vic said, shame he went to a smaller club, but we all have our lives and careers to think about.

No bad feeling about Podge and Toto from me.

No bad feelings from me neither. At the end of the day those ex players played there part in helping us back into the league for that I am eternally grateful. In Magnay's case, yes I was disappointed he left but at the time an offer from a league club was the correct move for him.  Podge was a bit of a downer having achieved promotion then to go to a club in the same division something was not right. Toto I only hope he does not feel all fans were against him they certainly was not the majority wanted him to stay. He did as much a job as the rest of that squad to help us get promoted.

I am planning to come up for that game so disappointed in a way I will not see him,

BUT

I will not boo the other ex mariners just a polite clap at the start,

Then cheer for Town for the rest of the time.
